The security light over the balcony shone throughout the the night which shed light into the room. Not disastrous but not great.

The view was exceptional. The room very comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and good.

The whole hotel is crying out for a refurbishment it’s such a lovely place but very dated, the rooms are musty with damp on the ceiling. It is very tried.

We had a room with a sea view and balcony, and all I can say is wow, beautiful and stunning views. The room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable.

Didn't realise hot breakfast was buffet style initially. Would prefer to toast our own bread. Though hot food was regularly replaced and good.

Great location and balcony with lovely sea view. Enjoyed relaxing at the Spa.

Breakfast the service was poor a bit chaotic with not all options available. Apparently the chef failed to turn up.

Had a free upgrade to better room with a sea view. This had an outdoor terrace which was lovely in the sun.

We decided to eat in the bistro on our last evening, the food was ok for the price but the staff were a bit lacking in customer service. I asked if we order food and drinks at the bar or if it was table service and was told she could come to us to take our food and drink order. This never happened as she disappeared and no one else was stood at the bar. Another member of staff appeared so I chose to order at the bar, he was serving someone else, so I waited and the girl who originally said she would come to us, returned with stock for the bar and then disappeared again. The guy finished serving his customer, then walked away from the bar leaving me standing at an empty bar. The girl reappeared a few minutes later and took my order. The bistro was fairly quiet but we were left waiting nearly 40 minutes for food, to the point where we had almost finished our drinks and the guy behind the bar came over to ask if we wished to order desserts to which I pointed out that we had yet to have our mains. I noticed that we weren't the only ones who were left waiting for service or left standing at the bar. The staff were pleasant enough but I would say some direction is possibly needed in that one member of staff should always be present at the bar whilst another is restocking/running food?

Lovely large room with a balcony. Nice decent size spa/pool area. Was lovely to pop downstairs and use the pool in the morning whilst it poured with rain outside. Both loved relaxing in the hydro pool. Staff were very friendly and attentive during breakfast.

The fact there was no lock on toilet door. Size of bath it was corner bath couldnt relax in it. Damp on ceiling in lounge area. Artex cracking on ceiling. There is parking spaces but limited but you cant go out anywhere or youll lose your space. If you keep your car there you run the risk of cars parking behind you blocking you in . Room 422 in lounge you had a view of a box thing .outside of hotel needs refreshing with paint. Balconey needs updating. Floor tiles wobbly in couple places . Damp on ceiling see photo . I would stay again but request a different room . Rooms on top floor looked better balconeys

Location was excellent . View was amazing . Size of room brilliant. Very clean comfy bed. Plenty of tea and coffee. Very helpful on reception desk. Short walk downhill to looe central.

There's certainly a smell in this hotel. The corridors look like 1976, and they smell like it too. When I opened my door to my room for the first time, there was an unpleasant 'warm and moist' smell which I managed to resolve by opening the french door to the balcony and turning the heating off. The breakfast was fine. I've certainly had worse but I've also had better.

I stayed here for a night. The room was nice and modern and had a nice sea view. Good shower pressure. No complaints about the basics.

The zip link beds are not an ideal way to achieve a double. It would have helped to have had a proper mattress topper. We asked after the 1st night but nothing happened. It wasn't good to be able to feel the zip below the sheets.

We booked a room with a sea view and that certainly didn't disappoint. It was brilliant to be able to go out onto the balcony and see the sun glistening on the sea and hear the waves below. We also enjoyed the indoor pool which also had a sea & sky view. The changing rooms were rather small but great to have this facility.
