Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe toilet flush was not very strong. The toilet filled up regularly and threatened to overflow. It meant that with 3 of us in the room we had to wait for long periods of time between toilet flushes.
Loved that the rooms had a little kitchenette. Great for preparing your own breakfast if you are on a budget. There is also filtered water with refillable bottles provided. This was brilliant.

Great location, walking distance to many areas of interest. Exceptional Staff. The room was large, very clean, with a very comfortable bed. There are two restaurants on the property, one is a pizzeria with excellent food.

United States of AmericaCovers on the silver service used during breakfast were prone to slamming. In my review directly to the Grand they appreciated this observation and that they intend to address it. Much appreciated.
The front desk staff was very helpful and took care of us very well. Extremely comfortable king size bed that we always looked forward to after a long day.

The hotel is lovely but the staff is even more lovely..down to every single person I encountered! The bedroom itself is a little bland , but beds are comfortable, linens are nice quality and the room was very quiet...which we love. GermanyThe bed was too soft (perhaps too old/too used), the room was not serviced daily, but the most unpleasant experience was communication (or rather lack thereof) with the staff at the front desk. They didn't want to be bothered with doing what I assumed was their job: I was told to do check in on a hotel tablet myself (as well as check out), although there weren't any other guests beside my friend and me at that times, so I guess the busyness couldn't be the reason. The conversation was terse and my questions were answered with a bare minimum. I was rather disappointed, as I'd expect cordial and polite customer service in a 4 star hotel.
Excellent location, quiet and comfortable room, ironing table and a good hair-dryer were provided, as well as Nescafe and tea bags, wifi was fast and reliable.

FranceAbsence of an adapter in room directly in room; I sent an email before the stay to ask for the best addresses to visit with our dog, I did not receive an answer, and I had to ask again on arrival. ; on arrival, the team did not ask us if we made a good trip; when booking booking I specified that this trip was to celebrate the seven years of couple with my spouse, no verbal intent or in-room...a great disappointment knowing I know the possibilities in a four-star hotel. ; the basket and the bowl for the dog were put in the room after our arrival. Request my reservation not respected: a nice view (not the case) and little space to walk around the bed side window. The hotel accepts pets and we are told that he cannot be with us to go to the bar or restaurant, which complicates the stay. I had to insist twice so that we can consume on site, I did not expect this difficulty while the hotel is upscale. I am a service manager in a five-star hotel in Paris centre, and I have been working in this sector for ten years, I was disappointed to make this comparison, I know the possibilities of a luxury hotel and we did not have this chance.
the location ; a peace place ; available team. The location allowed us easily to visit London, without any problems. It was easy and pleasant. Our dog and we had a good weekend for a first in London! We also liked the workspace and sports. As we have a dog, it is difficult to go to the restaurant (unlike the pubs) we would have liked to receive a list of restaurants that accept the dog to help us. We also liked the quality of the bar and restaurant. The teams are smiling, the corridors are quiet.
