Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ThailandThere is no lift in the building. Hence, going up to the fifth floor will be challenging.
Location is superb. Just 3-4 minutes to Paddington and people could reach anywhere.

United KingdomDue to being so close to the station you could hear the trains coming through, wasn’t the end of the world though and didn’t interrupt sleep or anything!

United States of AmericaI am a light sleeper, so the rambling window and the floor didn't allow me to sleep well because of the train going just under the building. I also missed the park view mentioned in the room description. I had a ground 0 room and the view was limited to the wall and the AC station.
I liked the location. Close to Paddington station and Hyde Park. The room was clean, and the bathroom was renewed.

Tina was a delight after a long journey! Knowledgeable and efficient. The water dispenser in the lobby is a brilliant idea and (I hope) will encourage others to bring reusable water bottles….zero waste! Well done! ( and thank you!)

United KingdomThe big problem for me was the almost constant noise of the underground trains rumbling underneath and making the floor tremble and the old sash windows rattle. There was about 5 hours of silence in the night. I slept very poorly. My room was on the 2nd floor, so the staff said in the morning that next time they will put me on a higher floor, which apparently helps. The second potential problem is that this hotel does not have lifts, however, the staff are always willing to carry people's cases if necessary. Probably best not to use this hotel if you have a large very heavy suitcase!
The room was beautiful, decorated in the style of its elegant historical period. The little bathroom/shower room was perfectly kitted out, with elegant and practical fittings, perfect despite its small size. The staff were helpful in every way I needed. There was a really nice communal tea and coffee nook in the stairwell, with kettle, tea bags and instant coffee etc., with a nice sofa to sit on. Even the stairwell was beautifully decorated, with interesting pictures to look at. There was no breakfast, but that is not a problem in an area with endless eating places everywhere. The location is perfect for Paddington Main Railway Station, just around the corner.

CanadaOur room was very tiny with a very tiny bathroom. We also overlooked the back of the property rather than a view of the park in front. The room was very stuffy so we had to opened the window and could hear all the street noise, as well as the trains coming and going from Paddington Station. There was no hairdryer in the room.
Thes staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is very convenient to Paddington Train Station - which was why we booked.

AustraliaI found the cleanliness of the room a bit lacking, but the overall facilities were quite clean.
The room was small, but all that was required for a single traveller that went exploring all day. The sink was a bonus, as was the little balcony. A filtered water tap (still and sparkling) was available in the lobby, which was a great money saver. Staff very really lovely and very helpful, one gentleman even carried my bag upstairs for me. The hotel is located in a couple of town houses with lots of character.

United KingdomNo breakfast offered or provided, no tea or coffee making facilities in the room, small room with a small bed and a tiny bathroom. No toiletries other than 1 toilet roll, no soap, shampoo etc. Definitely paying for the location as very basic room, expensive in my opinion.
Good location in pleasant square of streets. Handy for most of London, plenty of pubs, restaurants etc nearby. Place was clean but could do with some updating. Staff were pleasant and tried to be helpful.
