The dining room was very small and at breakfast got very busy. There was little room to move around and a constant flow of people walking behind my seat didnt make it feel like a very relaxing start to the day. The food and service however was very good

Nice roomy bathroom, good size twin room. Plenty of variety at breakfast and staff were very efficient at keeping everything stocked up The gentleman on reception on arrival was lovely. Made you feel very welcome

Making everyone check in caused a bit of a delay but the reception staff did let us know when we dropped off bags and couldn’t have been friendlier when we did get up to check in

Parking was provided, but the car park was full when we arrived. Friend found a space whilst I queued to check-in. I didn't see the extra price for parking whilst booking the hotel.

Room was nice and air conditioning was much appreciated to cool the room. Hotel was very nice and in a good location for my travel plans.

Carpet in room was very stained. As was carpet leading to breakfast area...needs a good clean. Telephone in room broken at socket but not a major issue as WiFi worked NP incase of emergency.

Location great Receptionist extremely helpful and a very pleasant lady Breakfast staff very friendly too. Characteristics of hotel very quirky. Appears dated but a venue full of history. Parking a little expensive though but for the convenience I was happy to pay £28 for 24hrs. Breakfast was plentiful, from fruits, yogurts, cereal, pastries to the usual full English help yourself style Breakfast. My son and I would stay here again

The main issue is parking they have so many rooms but very little space for parking. And they don't have lift for 2nd floor.

Firstly this property is located in very good location and rooms are also good and cozy, bar is awesome I enjoyed drinks in bar & the view from bar is superb. Breakfast was also very nice. Staff is friendly.

Although the room was clean and tidy - the carpets throughout the reception area and adjoining bar were beyond disgusting. We couldn’t believe how filthy they were. Especially considering the general standard elsewhere. I wouldn’t stay there again just because of this. It all needs a bit of a clean up

Location. Lovely and helpful Italian lady at the reception desk.

the dirty sock we found on the chair .

I always book a sea view room - because they are much better than the others ! great big windows, nice bathroom etc The room is generally clean but we did find a dirty woman's sock on the chair ! I like the reception area and funky chairs , the bar and tables that look out to sea. the staff were warm and helpful and lovely . Barry on the desk and the lovely man ( didn't catch your name ) working in the bar at night. some areas feel as if they need a bit of a refurb but - I like this hotel .

The hotel was quite dated, especially when you went passed the foier/ front desk. Front desk was small and long Que to check in. Room was nice and spacious but the price was what way to steap. Breakfast this morning was horrendous, we arrived and there was not enough space in the breakfast area, which meant we had to sit in the bar area and walk with our plates through the front desk area where people stood with their luggage. Food was ok but expected more.

    Location was good

While the staff were working hard for breakfast I had a tight timetable attending conference; some of the breakfast food took too long to come out and I ended up starting the day with a piece of toast and a side of disappointment.

The lass who checked me in was extremely helpful. The room was clean and the air con helped me sleep so well.

There wasn’t much we didn’t like about the property.

We liked the location and its historic architectural appeal. We liked the fact it had lifts and stairs and was central to all the attractions in Brighton.

The only bad thing I have to say is that the walls were thin and we were able to hear everything.

This was one of my favourite hotel stays. The rooms were nice and clean. The hotel is in the perfect location by the seaside. The staff were really friendly. Especially Barry, he was so so nice and it was really a pleasure to meet him. We will definitely come back!
