A little dated in decor our breakfast was very small not enough food with one bacon one sausage and one egg was not enough for a full-grown person.

Squeaky floorboards everywhere!

Traditional seaside hotel offering excellent value for money, dinner was delicious. Feel welcomed and safe as a solo traveler.

The bed wasn’t made very well and was very uncomfortable. The hotel is tired and the wifi only worked in the bar. I unfortunately picked a weekend when an air show was on and all the access roads to the hotel were closed off until 7pm so check this before booking. I managed to get to the hotel but parking was limited and I ended up blocking people which meant you could be phoned anytime to move your car which limited me as to how far I could venture from the hotel.

The staff were really good and I had an evening meal which was very nice. The location was right on the seafront.

Breakfast that was included in the price. Medioca. Limited range of options. Staff were helpful but we did have to wait for our food for some time and did not receive any toast that was also ordered with the breakfast. Limited starter options for myself.

I did like the location of the hotel. Rooms were to a good standard and also free parking was avaliable all day while staying at the hotel.

Unfortunately our room was underneath the restaurant so very noisy, very early in the morning and sometimes late at night so I'm assuming that other guests had to walk through the restaurant to get to their rooms and the walls are very thin so he could hear the people in the room next to us. The beds were at the side of the television so you tried to turn the television as it was on a swivel table but you still didn't really get a very good view if you're lying side by side in the bed so there were two chairs with a table but the chairs weren't that comfortable to sit in.

The situation of the hotel was fantastic right on the sea front, stuff was lovely, the room what we were given was a very good size larger than what we booked.

Although we did manage to park, I did notice that public can park for £5 per day, which made me think that if we had got there later we wouldn't have been able to park at the hotel, which is one of the things I look for when choosing an hotel. The cooked English breakfast was not the best and not enjoyable. Cheap sausage and bacon. However the staff and chef were wonderful and I was allowed to have a variety of starters for breakfast.

The bed was comfy and the staff went out there way to help and were very friendly and accommodating. The location was right on everything. The evening meal was good value and very tasty and enjoyable.

Typical Victorian era seaside property that felt a little care worn. Especially our room which was very basic with a 1970’s feel. Lift was not working.

Location. Right in the centre of Paignton and a short walk to the beach which is about 50 yards away. Not far from the Cinema, restaurants and pubs. Nice Lobby area with seating to relax in and good breakfast. Very friendly down to earth staff. Free parking.

Room decoration looking a bit 'tired' and shower, whilst hot, lacked in pressure.

The house is very poorly soundproofed. Ok, this is an older house, but you can hear much of what other people do. The only negative point.

On the top floor the hot water took quite a while to come through. Not really a big problem though.

Great choice on the breakfast menu. Staff really helpful and friendly. Lovely lounge / conservatory area where you can sit and relax looking out on the park and seafront. Clean throughout.

How hard the mattress was (personal preference), good job we knew not to use the water as there was no sign in our room stating not to use the water. The sink was pretty much off the wall. The breakfast was tiny wouldn’t even feed a child.

The location was excellent, couldn't be better. By shops, park and over the road from the beach. The room was a decent size for 4 adults for a week but what let it down was the fact that the dining area was right above so was noisy first thing in the morning and at dinnertime and beyond. Also the toilet pipes made a noise when flushed not ideal in the middle of the night!!! The cleanliness could have been better, the carpet needed vaccuming but wasn't done all week, and bathroom had dirty floor also the TV stand and sideboard were dusty all week. The breakfast was good however a little early for us on holiday as we like a lie in. We didn't eat dinner. Tired looking hotel could do with a lick of paint on the outside to brighten up and would look so much more appealing. Overall nice stay and a value for money break.
