Easy to get to by car. A free room upgrade, room was very good. Valet parking, although on the expensive side, was very handy. Location in the centre of the city was excellent. Breakfast was very good.

Lovely stay, excellent location next to the Minster. Staff were excellent, very welcoming, and friendly. Super helpful. Breakfast was good, facilities excellent. Decent shower and room was a great size and very comfy bed.

Location was excellent. The staff was incredible. First time driving on the other side and was a little nervous about parking. Staff member came out, unloaded our bags and parked the car. Just one example of outstanding customer service. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!

The interior did not match the exterior

Chose a ground floor room because of my disability. A big mistake as the room had no windows and there were lifts to all floors. However, the hotel was next to the minster and next to the heart of the city centre

The lift was truly tiny. Couldn’t fit a pram in it. Though the staff helped us to get to the second floor.

The staff. Without exception the staff were friendly and helpful. We were travelling with a baby and they couldn’t have been more accommodating .The location is excellent- just in front of the Minster.

The double room we had was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed apart from room to put your feet down. The bathroom looked to have been recently refurbished and was a decent size. However, the room itself was absolutely tiny. The bed was also on the small side. The window looked out onto a small roof area, so no view. The room was sandwiched between the lift and the staircase.

The hotel location is perfect; across the road from York Minster and within easy walking distance from all the main tourist attractions. The valet parking service makes arrival/ check-in stress free. The food at both breakfast and dinner was outstanding. All the hotel staff were friendly and helpful.

Just a little pricey for the rooms.

Location good but watch for the minster’s bell and clock chimes. Nice staff. Check in and out online so easy.

The only grumble, which we never mentioned was that of two matching chairs in our room which were solid & uncomfortable to sit on, sit in for any length of time. Very nice looking chairs and fitted in with the decor of the room but not something to relax in for very long.

Location excellent for historic Central York. Breakfasts very good, restaurant staff at breakfast & dinner very pleasant and helpful.t

Rooms are very warm, although fans are provided. Expected a few more touches like bottled water in room, or a refill station in reception & a wider range of fruit / pastries at breakfast to reflect the 4 star rating and price.

Receptionist had an attitude n was not pleasant

The double room I was given was a single room with a double bed, the bed just filled the room and it was a scruffy look8ng room with a view of the bins. I would have walked but the manager gave me a different room which was lovely
