Marina House was ideally located for mine and my brother's short stay in Brighton. It's not too far away from the heart of the city, but distant enough to afford some peace and quiet. A stone's throw from the sea, comfortable and pretty cosy, it was a lovely place to rest up and had a very welcoming atmosphere.

My fault for misunderstanding the description but , Booked a room with private bathroom, arrived to my room and was just a room with no bathroom. Could not see any facilities near my room. No instructions that bathroom is separate or where its located Bathroom is actually up another flight of stairs.

The place is being renovated, which may be the issue for someone, but not us.

It was very traditional, close to the sea, nicely decorated. We did not use any public transport/car during our stay, everything was within walk distance

The bathroom being outside is okay for a few nights but not very convenient

Self check-in didn't work but was extremely quickly sorted. TV didn't work. Apparently it doesn't have terrestrial channels. It wasn't great for me with my medical conditions going up the stairs for toilet and bathroom but that is particular for me and I'll know next time not to be so mean and get the ensuite room! Ha ha!

Exceptional value for money for Brighton. Great location. I'd definitely recommend and come back

Two flights of stairs might not suit the older or less mobile visitor. The bed was too soft for me but that’s absolutely a personal preference. The pressure of the water in the shower was a little weak for me. It’s a 25 minute, hilly walk to and from the station, but that’s Brighton!

Exceptionally clean, bright and cozy but reasonably spacious room. Coffee, tea and biscuits with a kettle were appreciated. It was quiet enough for me to get a very good sleep. The property is very handy to the beach front and not far from the action.

The only thing was the auto generated messages from HQ prior to arrival about uploading IDs were not accurate, but the local staff stepped in to handle it correctly, so all was well.

The members of staff we met there were all super helpful and friendly, assisting us with our various requests. Our rooms were not massive but just the right size and everything was clean. The location was great. Would definitely stay again.

Scaffolding outside but no big problem every place needs a bit of freshening up now and again. Shame no breakfast but again not a problem as plenty of places to have breakfast.

Although they cannot offer breakfast, this did not bother me as there are plenty of options within 5 minutes walk of the hotel. The room was a bit on the small size, but great value for a single. There was some scaffolding outside while there, but this didn't affect my stay at all.

The rooms were clean and comfortable - I stayed in both room 8 (3 nights) and room 5 (one night), with separate, lockable bathroom for each. I liked that you could just come and go as you pleased. The staff were happy to move my possessions from one room to another while I was out.

We couldn't get into our room as no key was left when we arrived but a lovely lady came to help us and was very apologetic and reassuring. This was however quite stressful for us but mistakes happen.
