To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The location is awesome! U can get to the part in 5 min’s walking and enjoy the wonderful natural beauty. And the V&A Museum is also next to it. But if you want to pay a visit to TATE, or the British Museum, it won’t be a good choice.

United KingdomTop bunk Bed N.1 underneath the the stairs was uncomfortably hot in room temperature thanks again for allowing me to move to another bed within the same room requested
Originally I was given bed number 1 which was a top bunk but the double bunk bed was placed located underneath some stairs and I didn’t have wasn’t near a window which mean the heat was really rather uncomfortable - I did mention this to the reception staff member as when I made my booking with booking.com the site said the property had at least 6 beds to choose from within the dorm I was looking to book so I left a personal message again to stay on a top bunk but not within such an uncomfortable location. Thankfully the staff member within the property kindly moved my bed number to another bed which was a lot more cooler/ comfortable to sleep the 2night in my stay booking. Other than that the staff did a great gob a welcoming me keeping the propert facilities etc clean Would recommend/ stay there again many thanks

United States of AmericaThe bathroom had no mat for the floor and water got out when taking a shower. The mattress on the bed hurt my back. I have stayed at other hostels, but the mattresses have been fine/good. The kitchen and lounge areas seemed a bit dirty or in need of revamping a little.
The location and exterior of the building was impeccable. Liked the music playing when I entered and exited and the vibe of the front desk staff. The big tv/projector in the front lounge was awesome. Liked the winding staircase of this historic building.

United KingdomThe room was fine but one bathroom between 10 women could be problematic. One woman spent 30 minutes in the bathroom in the morning while we were all waiting. Smoking in the front doorway really got on my nerves. It made the reception area smell of smoke and was most unpleasant. When I complained about this to the staff, they were not very interested. The biggest complaint I have is that my friend who was visiting from Japan and male, had booked a bed in a women's dormitory by mistake. He was charged an extra £70 to change this booking to a male dormitory. I thought this was very unfair. The reception clerk explained that it was a charge for a late booking and was unavoidable in this circumstance.
Location is excellent. Lovely fellow guests. Kitchen facilities good.

HungaryThere isn't a single shelf in the bathrooms where one could put any stuff or things or shower gel or towel or clothes. There is no shelf in the shower either, and there's nowhere to put the shower gel, only on the floor. It would be very necessary to have shelves in these bathrooms so that one wouldn't have to put their things and clothes on the toilet lid or the floor….
