Hotel near Koelnmesse expo - but the hotel doesn't have enough irons for ironing shirts? In the end, they managed to find something, but they were close to telling me I can't iron a shirt.

The shower cannot be considered a highlight at Motel One. There is the advantage of not having a bathtub, but the shower is weak. Which isn't a problem for a short stay. Keep in mind that you won't have a minibar in the room either.

Motel One is an excellent hotel chain for short stays. They stand out for their good location. They offer a comfortable bed and a very good breakfast, for very reasonable prices. The staff was always friendly and in some units they offer a bottle of water at check-in (that wasn't the case in Cologne). In Cologne my highlight is the parking. It is managed by a third party, so the price is not included in the daily rate, but you can park your car a few meters from the hotel elevator, in covered garage (basement). The hotel is also just a few steps from Deutz Station, in case you're coming by train.

There is no facilities to fill up your own water bottles. Would be great if there was a cold water fountain as you have to ask the bar staff or fill up from hotel room bathroom sink.

Beautiful hotel lounge stunning how it is decorated. Great dog friendly hotel and we were given a bigger room which was perfect with having our dog with us. Very friendly staff and great central location to city centre and the river. Would 100% recommend staying here.

A kettle in the room would have been really useful,good location but access through subway no fault of hotel but a lot of inderviduals evident substance abuse which was off putting and upsetting walking through at night

Double bed was very small, I was sharing a room with a friend (not my partner). I had to get another room as bed was too small, also only one towel and one duvet.

The pillows was the only thing. One was not enough and the 2nd was too much. That’s purely personal preference.

Lovely hotel, bar area was really nice, well designed and great ambiance. Room was huge and well thought out. Location to the show arena and train station was perfect.

When it is busy in the morning, there are not enough tables to find a spot to sit for breakfast and you will need to sit on a couch at a salon table, quite low and less practical. Most hotels nowadays (of this league)do not supply body lotion and small bathroom necessities anymore. I do miss that sometimes as it means that you have to pack all your 'beauty-case' things even for one night.

Great location for my business purpose in the area, good bed/bedding, nice bar-lounge area to sit in the evening. Fine breakfast with enough choice to my liking.

The staff was really nice! in the reception since we arrived and in the bar there was Evelyn, I had a super after concert in the bar, the music was super cool, the staff so friendly and the drinks delicious. I'm definitely coming back to Motel One.

The breakfast was super good, not many gluten free options but it hat what I needed, everything organic, easy and practical.
