It took three tries to check in because the front door was locked - it appears the woman who checked us in does EVERYTHING (reception, maid service, etc), but she was very nice when we finally found her. Unfortunately, we were in the throes of an extreme heat wave, and although there was a fan in our room, it was very hot and difficult to sleep (not the hotel's fault, of course). When we checked out at 0900, I forgot we needed to bring the parking pass back, and we were unable to get back in as the front door was once again locked. I didn't notice a post box or anyplace I could leave the pass. I mailed the pass back on our return home. OveralI, I would recommend Hotel Cafe Adler to anyone visiting Triberg.

Very convenient location, and the hotel was very clean and nicely appointed. Staff in the hotel and the cafe were friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable, and we appreciated the fan that was left in the room. We had the Black Forest Cake in the Cafe, and it was outstanding.

The bathroom is too small for an otherwise spacious room. There is no staff after 7 pm.

The location is great. Very close to the waterfall and cuckoo clock shops. The cafe just below the hotel serves awesome black forest cake.

We really battled with our suitcases up the stairs to our room on the second floor, as there is no lift.

A very nice, clean hotel in the centre of Triberg. The staff were friendly and helpful, and they made us feel welcome, although we checked in late. Breakfast was good, and we especially liked their coffee. We had superb BlackForest cake at their café

Parking, I tried to confirm everything before our arrival. They said arrive and we will tell you where to park. When we were checking out the lady asked us if we have a parking ticket which left us wondering were we meant to get a free ticket. The whole parking situation was a bit of a nightmare which I am going to give you some tips to avoid. Bring change, you will need €9 per day in coins to work the machine, a card does not work.The parking is on Schwendistrasse just across from an ice cream palour. Parking in the town is overall on everyday needs payment. You do get in some areas a 30 mins free time but you need to use a parking disc to indicate you start time. WiFi was utterly crap. I could not watch anything on tv as I don’t speak German (no English channels) and I expected that it would be like that so I thought I can use my nexflix to watch a movie but the WiFi was no good. I had to hang out the window to send a message because it was a better connection to the cafe below. Which serves Black Forest gateau btw. I did not try it so I cannot offer an opinion.

Location Breakfast a continental with nice coffee. Lovely room which was quiet Free tickets to the waterfalls and other locations that the hotel gave us including the Black Forest museum. Pleasant staff.

No close parking available. We made use of public parking, but had to walk a bit in the rain to get our suitcases to the room. Hotel is on the main road, so traffic could become a bit noisy at times.

The staff was very friendly. The hotel is very conveniently situated within walking distance to various visitor attractions. Breakfast was good (very traditional German breakfast of cold meats, cheese and bread).

Renovated rooms, perfect our our family. The rooms were clean and the hospitality was superb. The breakfast in the morning was great. You are given a card at check in which gives you free access to museums and the waterfall. Great value!

The bed was awful. It made my back extremely sore due to the firmness. Comparing it to sleeping on the floor is appropriate. I got the worst nights of sleep in a long time.

Loved the quiet and the coolness of the room. The view was just ok due to nearby construction. However the breakfast was excellent and the staff as well. They went above and beyond.

Big and very clean room. Very good breakfast with great coffee. All the people were very kind and ready to help with everything. Exactly in the center of the village. You can go anywhere without using your car. 100% me and my family will stay here again.
