The location of the hotel is perfect. Easy for taxis to stop and from the hotel the whole waterfront area is within walking distance (we were in Liverpool for a concert in the M&S Bank Arena). Shower was very good. Breakfast was excellent. Nice bar and terraces.

Room was on the side of the street, the windows insulated very well against street noise, but they don't open (personal preference of course).

Poor breakfast and no shampoo/toiletries. At least get good sausages and bacon for breakfast if you’re only going to have powder shampoo.

I was very disappointed with my stay this time. I had stayed at the hotel weekly about 10 years ago and it was really good then. I was told that the hotel had just been refurbished - unfortunately it has not been done very well. There is a very poor finish quality on everything...and room was not clean enough. I also woke to discover ants on the floor and behind the bed.

Staff were quite rude and insisted we paid a fee different to the fee we booked on booking.com and we have not received an invoice. We showed them our booking and they said we had to pay the price they had and they couldn’t change it. Very strange because we had a booking with a price to pay and they had a higher price. So basically felt like they were ok with ripping us off.
