Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaWe had some issues with the room on the first day but it was fixed on the second day.
The staff was incredibly helpful and sincere. The breakfast had some delicious baked goods. The location was very convenient, accessible through public transport and cars and it was near a scenic route.

Germany- it is an old wooden town house and could need some touch ups here and there, inside and out - the mattress cover, full plastic/rubber cover - noisy and sweaty (I know it's more hygienic etc)
- homemade pastries by the owner - great breakfast buffet - laundry in house only 2$ per load (washing + drying) - 24 hours access to microwave, tea, coffee and sweet snacks - beautiful location walking distance to downtown and waterfront - friendly staff

CanadaAmazing location of property and people were so nice and helpful. They gave great recommendations including the where to watch the sunset and they were very attentive to making sure you were comfortable. They had everything you needed in the room and it was such a nice touch to have tea and coffee available to you in the kitchen whenever you wanted with being able to purchase soda for a very cheap price. Thank you so much for everything and cannot wait to visit again.

GermanyAs it is a charming old heritage house, you might hear voices from the common spaces in your room. Nothing unexpected though. Pack some earplugs, just in case.
I had a great stay here. The owners put a lot of effort into little details to make you enjoy your stay. Breakfast includes homemade pastries (and surprisingly good coffee). Throughout the house you find books and boardgames, a tea kitchen, and common spaces to relax. The location is unbeatable.

CanadaThe rooms are close to each other and walls are thin we were lucky to be there in low season because if the place is full it might be a little noisy from one room to another. Our room was also right over the reception area so when people arrive and check in you can hear them really clearly. But at the same time its an old house and its understandable not the owners fault really.
The room is super cute and comfortable all amenities are new and function well, the bed are cumfy and cozy. The staff was very nice and it was a fast check in process. Parking available on site and close by everything. Quiet neighborhood. The breakfast exceeded our expectations of continental wide variety of food all tasty and fresh. I would definetly go back.

CanadaEverything was great - but I think there might be raccoons in the attic as we heard a lot of scratching above the ceiling.
Breakfast was delicious, service was friendly, responsive and efficient. The rooms were super clean and comfortable. The location so close to the waterfront, with everything within easy walking distance, was fantastic.

CanadaThe breakfast was.... meh. I'm sorry but it wasn't appetizing (to me!). It was made (eggs and bacon) as requested, at the time we requested. It was made when we got to the breakfast room, I saw it, yet it was already (getting) cold by the time it was on the table. It could have been that the common areas were quite cold in general - which I understand, that's how houses (older type of houses anyway) are. The coffee was awful (to me. Maybe others like that brand). It was a lonely experience though, nobody else in the breakfast room but us and it was very quiet. But others probably would appreciate this. (it was off season, beginning of April)
Very clean place! They called to make sure we were still arriving at the time mentioned at booking. Our plane was a couple of hours late but they were at the reception, expecting us, being very nice. The lady explained everything well. The room was clean, beds (2 queens) comfortable. The decor was a bit old and old fashioned but perhaps not quite as "charming" as I hoped, at least in our room... but it was good. Parking was easy (next to the building). We were there off season so lots of space.
