Can't stand the smell of pot or cigarette smoke - not the motels fault, but it definitely detracted from my stay. Rooms could use a facelift. Not the most comfortable bed. Loud AC unit.

Upon check in I was greeted with a cold beer. That's a first! Was directed to a great place to park my motorcycle. Very friendly staff.

The room was a bit outdated and very dark. Because the location of the rooms and how the lodge is set up you don’t want to open your blinds because then people stare in. Better lighting maybe update the furniture or look of room. Just brighter colours honestly. I don’t mind the dated looks of places but I would like it to be bright and cozy

Nice little gem in eastern Kootenay. Fantastic place for a family to stay. Conveniently located and central to restaurants and shopping. BBQ was great, and the staff were fantastic. The pool was perfect! Would stay here again and again.

I always feel more secure when hotels have bedbug covers on the mattresses and box springs. I would recommend adding those to the hotel for visitors' peace of mind. Those covers are also waterproof, so protect the mattress/boxspring from spills and accidents. I was also worried about my kids wetting the bed when we stayed.

The pool was wonderful! Our kids had a blast and it helped us all feel better after a full day of driving.

Lazy bear had an awesome heated pool, which the kids loved. There were several bbqs on site, which we utilized nightly and were able to save money on cooking- our room also had a full apartment sized fridge. We spent a lot of time outside on the deck and pool area conversing with the staff who live there, and other visitors.

The room was a teeny, tiny back corner room with a window into a filthy alley. It smelt of marijuana from the room next door, even though they advertise as a non smoking motel. (They even have a sign posted right outside, saying people must go out to parking lot to smoke as it enters that room.) The door has only a flimsy knob lock, no deadbolt or chain. The facility is old and falling apart. The air conditioning unit had no knobs on it and a set of pliers to turn the dials. (Had to get staff to turn it on and off.) The one bed had a broken leg and was propped up. It slanted down and to one side. The outdoor pool has soggy, rotted areas on the deck and chunks of concrete falling off the sides and bottom of the pool. There were many guests sitting in the pool area, drinking heavily. Not very kid-friendly. We were disappointed with the motel and will not recommend it or return.

Front desk woman was excellent, friendly and warm, very attentive. Nice flowers hanging all over. Most areas looked as of they had been recently cleaned.
