Marianne at reception was so helpful, she basically helped us arrange everything for our stay at check-in. Booked seaplane experience for us and bought hop-on bus tickets before we were even checked in. Also room was available earlier, so great experience.

the location was very centrally located and walkable. The staff was outstanding---very willing to assist in any way--making recommendations for restaurants, tours, call a cab for us. Culdnt have been happier with our choice to stay at the L'Hermitage. Would definitely return if in Vancouver again.

We thought hotels were very overpriced throughout Canada, but this is a beautiful hotel. It is a big city which means that driving the many one way streets and parking can be a little overwhelming. To check-in, you need to find the little area on the street to pull in to quickly get checked in and instructions on how to go around the corner and park. We went around the block a few times until we just decided to park on the street. A little more instruction from the hotel would be helpful in this case. Parking is a big deal in this very busy city, so it is nice to have parking under the hotel around the corner, but there is some instruction on how to access and that did not go that smoothly for us but we figured it out after a few tries. We just got a bit confused that the first set of elevators did not work for us since they were for residents versus hotel guests. A bit more signage would be helpful. The staff was very professional and friendly. The lobby is very small and had some type of artificial fragrance being pumped in to it and was WAY too strong. There were Israel protests the first night that were very loud and offensive but really did not last more than two hours, and even though all the tour blogs and books say how charming gas town is... a drive through the center of it is disappointing and heartbreaking due to the huge number of homeless which sleep/live there openly doing drugs and going to the bathroom. Just keep to the small part of Gas town near the steam clock.

In a good location to explore the city. We were able to walk to get Bahn Mi's one night and Ramen another, both wonderful. There was also a little grocery store in the same block. My husband is not able to walk long distances and think the location worked out. Great coffee shops in the area. The room was large and very comfortable. Large bathroom. Loved having the tub and the toiletries were used throughout the entire trip because they smelled so nice.

Wonderful boutique hotel with well-appointed bathroom. Well situated- IGA grocery store at corner - easy walk to Lookout Tower, Gastown, Sun Yat Sen garden- all worth seeing!!....Parking was "different" but clearly explained how to access lot. Loved having our room on same floor as scenic dining room. The ability to get meals at odd hours there was also appreciated. Didn't use other facilities but saw guests enjoying the hot tub, fitness room, etc. Easily navigated Vancouver roads to drive to Univ of BC- visited beautiful Japanese gardens on campus, but unfortunately the Archaeology museum was closed- still enjoyed wandering this HUGE campus. Had to skip Stanley Park since our ferry ride was the next day!

Stunning hotel in a fabulous location. We were upgraded to a suite, which was a great size and very comfortable. The outdoor pool was heated to perfection, and the on-site restaurant was decent.

We were upgraded, and our room was a studio with a full kitchen! The staff was amazing - everyone we talked to was friendly, and eager to help. We ate breakfast in the cafe/bar, and it was amazing. I would definitely go back!
