The wifi connection was quite weak, and the smell in the room was not great. The mattress was too soft for me.

The location is great, right in the heart of Abraão. The rooms are very basic, don't expect anything fancy. Super soft beds (too soft for me) and there's a weird smell in the room - possibly mold? You can see in the walls and furniture that the wet climate impacts the interior of the rooms, even the pillows had this very strong smell.

The bathroom was a bit small.

Location was great just off the Main Street. Beds were comfortable, air condition worked perfectly and the shower was great. Mini fridge was very helpful to cool our water.

The bathroom could have been cleaner but really it was ok. There were two pet dogs at the hostel which would be bad if you had an allergy perhaps.

Biergarten Suites is a very peaceful courtyard just 100 yards off the main road. It's near town but quiet and peaceful. It has a really nice kitchen. When we had a problem with our shower they sent a man to fix it in 20 minutes which was great. the room had good air conditioning though a bit noisy. The room had a private bathroom. When we arrived after a bad journey the staff were friendly and helpful and mostly spoke good English.

Nothing everything was perfect

My boyfriend and I stayed here over Christmas. It was lovely. The rooms were very comfortable and the shower was lovely and warm. The communal areas were really nice and made for a really nice relaxing stay. The open air kitchen was perfect for cooking any meal. The rooms were cleaned everyday by the lovely hotel staff. I don’t speak much Portuguese and I had no problem communicating with the staff as one of the receptionist spoke English. Everyone who worked there could not have been more helpful. The location was perfect and near the beaches, restaurants and bars and 5 mins walk to the pier. I would 100% stay here again.

I wish there were more comfortable seating arrangements in the common areas. The best Wi-Fi was there, but the seating areas could be better than a uncomfortable chair made out of string and those wooden benches with no backs.

Very loud at night from street noise and guests sitting in common area until early hours with music and talking. No one around to request them to keep noise down unless other guests do it. If youre a deep sleeper potentially not a problem but kept me and my sister up 2 out of 3 nights. Overall would still recommend and we may have just had bad luck with this.

Beautiful hotel with hammocks outside the rooms, perfect for chilling out in. Rooms are clean and well set up for two and were cleaned daily. Location was convenient. Beautiful greenery around and a very friendly cat.

The staff didn't speak much English not Spanish, most people spoke Portuguese only. It lacked some introduction to the island, basic information on what can be done there should be provided by the reception. I hoped for own hammock but only some rooms have them in the patio. The walls of the apartments are very thin so if you have a family with kids close by/ loud neighbours it will be difficult to sleep.

Good location, 5 min from the pier. Clean, comfortable bedroom. The cats on the property are great. Nice common area with tables and common kitchen. The facilities are clean but they sometimes have an old feeling.

the only downside is how early they close the kitchen, like people can’t go in and make themselves a little snack in the middle of the night. or watch tv.. but they will allow you to get water from the filter if you need.

I’ve stayed here multiple times now and only have good things to say… The people who work here have great service and are good people! always welcoming and friendly! theres a cat-dog who runs the place, absolutely sweetest cat I’ve met in my life. You can expect the rooms to be cleaned and Maintained regularly, white sheets and fresh towels on request. there’s a nice public kitchen with ice trays and filtered water.

The room felt damp throughout the stay, but this might be more a reflection of the climate than the accomodation. However there was heavy rain one evening during our stay and the roof started leaking pretty badly in our bathroom, into the light fitting and then onto the toilet and floor. This happened the night before our departure and we reported to staff, so possibly this was rectified after we left.

Great location, up a quiet street and a short walk from all of the towns restaurants, tour shops, supermarket, ferry terminal, etc. Staff were friendly and helpful despite the language barrier. Air conditioning and fridge in the room worked well.

There are cats living at the property, not only they go everywhere, there is a smell of cat's urine in the garden. Matrasses of the beds are only 78 centimetres wide , not comfortable for an average size adult.

Our stay in the hotel was quite bad. Despite the frequent power outages on the island and unlike other hotels this hotel does not have a power generator. During our stay of 3 nights we had electricity for a total of 12 hours. This means no airco, no WiFi, no hot water and no charging your phone. The room was quite old with mold on the walls and the cleanliness was not maintained. They have 2 cats which brought dead bats to our room. If you want to stay on Ilha Grande book a hotel that has a power generator.

The hotel has a nice garden with communal kitchen.

We had some issues with the shower, as there was no water on our second day, the staff wasn’t really around often, the bunk bed felt like it was going to give way at any moment. Needs some improvement overall, but the island is beautiful and rustic, so still a great experience.

Great location and price, lots of nature and animals, rooms are big - the ones we stayed had a nice private balcony.

Well for starters it’s overpriced for what you get. The rooms are extremely small, they smell in the bathroom and some of the linen on the bed. WiFi is extremely poor in the common areas and in the room. There were multiple black outs with no signal, electricity across a few days and on Top of that there was no communication from reception explaining what was happening. Receptionist was only at the property after 3pm. Wasn’t really attentive or helpful.
