Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyWhile the resort offers a decent selection of dining options, the variety could be expanded to cater to diverse tastes. Some areas of the resort could benefit from minor upkeep to ensure a consistently high standard of maintenance.
Situated amidst lush greenery and overlooking the sparkling ocean, the resort offers breathtaking views and a tranquil atmosphere. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped with modern amenities, ensuring a pleasant stay. The staff members are courteous, attentive, and accommodating, enhancing the overall experience.

United States of AmericaOur stay at Panvinam Resort, Pool Villa Grande with Sea View, was nothing short of spectacular! This side of the island was a revelation, and I was blown away by its beauty. The daily breakfast was delightful, but the view was truly stupendous. The breathtaking scenery of the sea and large rock formations was visible from the dining areas, the private beach, and especially our private infinity pool overlooking the sea. The shower experience was equally impressive, with blinds that opened to reveal the same stunning view while maintaining privacy. The staff at Panvinam Resort were beyond thorough, kind, and gracious. They offer 24-hour golf carts to take you from your room to the pool, beach, or gate, which is a great convenience if you have any trouble with walking. While we didn't need to use them, it's a thoughtful service. The nearby downtown area had just enough of everything we needed, including bars, massages, restaurants, and convenience stores. The private beach was a highlight, offering free amenities like kayaks and loungers. Although we only used the loungers, umbrellas, and beach towels, it was a nice touch to have these options available. The beach itself had a sandy bottom and was a bit deeper than the other side of Koh Phangan, which I personally found much more enjoyable. I absolutely loved our stay and would be thrilled to promote this place. Call me (wink)!

United KingdomWe arranged a taxi shuttle service to go to the pier in the morning which was charged more than what I would expect. The hotel does offer free shuttle service 3x a day and outside of these hours the service is charged, however performed by the same staff and vehicle as for the free service.
The room was super comfortable and spacious. The view was really good and was a delight every morning and evening to watch. Staff was friendly and helpful with any requests/questions.

ThailandBreakfast service can be improved - cold cuts isn’t warm chicken meat and a little tray of cheese, better to remove the option. Muesli with yoghurt in a shot glass isn’t a portion, Asking too many times for coffee. Skipped breakfast a couple of times and went into the village, which is perfect.. for a change.
Privacy of the pool room and distance to the beach. Proximity to the village is perfect. Speed boat transfer is essential for the most chilled arrival, views from samui to the bay are stunning!

New ZealandSome of our group found the staff not very helpful ie debating the discount they previously said was applicable. Also we arrived as a big group ( which they new as they picked us up) but it was very slow to check-in and incredibly hot in the reception area
Stunning location and facilities Liked that there where other restaurants and shops just outside the resort and carts to give you a lift up the steep hill

United KingdomBreakfast was okay - I think there could have been more options. Coffee was not great which was a shame. We stayed as a group but found that we were spread out away from each other, which was a shame. Part of this was due to one of the rooms being a room with a pool.
The pool and access to the beach was great. Easily accessible to the local village area. Mostly the staff were really kind and friendly.

AustraliaThere is a waterway cutting off the little hotel beach from the main beach. The water didn't look very clean coming out of the waterway. It put us off dining at the restaurant down at the beach. It wouldn't put us off returning to Panviman though!
Rooms were amazing. Views to die for. breakfast was great. Lunches at the pool restaurant really nice. Buggies generally came quickly if you didn't feel like walking. The village next to the hotel is brilliant, great restaurants and a lovely vibe

The resort is incredible and the village where it's located is lovely, we loved the beach and the street at night has many options to dine out. It was also very easy to arrange shared transport to/from the hotel and not expensive as some other comments mentioned.

United States of AmericaI paid to get the Panviman ferry from and to Koh Samui and the return experience was frustrating. It was scheduled for 10am but they provided a note the night before saying I had to check out at 9 and be ready to go at 9:30. At 9:05 they called me telling me I needed to check out. I went at 9:15 and then was planning to grab some toast from the breakfast restaurant. They told me no I needed to wait in the (hot) lobby area and then then the busses actually left at 9:20. In my view they should stick to their timetable and also communicate when you book that the 'ferry' (bus) leaves at 9:30 not 10. Neither direction we're we able to get the ferry directly to the resort, we had to land other side of the island and drive 30 minutes across. I was unwell so ordered room service twice. It was average and recommend if you are feeling well enough you explore the restaurants in town.
Panviman is a whole complex with 3 restaurants (beach, pool bar, and breakfast/main restaurant) and also offers room service. I really enjoyed chilling by the pool, there was a beautiful view, plenty of chairs and towels. There were also lounge chairs on the beach but I didn't try them. Room was large and the bed was probably the largest I have slept in (bigger than a king I swear!)
