Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

BulgariaFood in the restaurant was no good. Some dishes were ok, but some couldn't eat. Didn't like how loud the music was inside the restaurant, even during breakfast ,we couldn't hear each other. I also didn't appreciate listening to Russian songs in the current situation. It is inappropriate. Overall, too much noise, too much loud horrible music, I was happy to go home when my holiday was over. Oh, one last thing, maybe it was just our room, but the toilet board kept sliding, so if you were not careful, you could fall from the toilet, hahaha
Loved how close it was to the beach. Staff working in the hotel and restaurant and bar are incredibly nice and polite. Can pay everywhere with a card. Great facilities minus pool is too small, but the sea is right there. It is easy to go out for a walk and go around the city. It is all very pretty, cozy, and clean. Old Town is only 15 min walk from the hotel.

Czech RepublicThe beds could have been more comfortable and they only had one elevator for the whole hotel. Which broke down one evening…
Liked the vicinity to old town Nessebar and the closeness to the beach. Overall very nice facilities, clean and the room was also very spacious.

United KingdomThe breakfasts were good although hot items such as bacon and fried eggs soon got cold. Must add that if and when requested, fresh and hot foods such as fried eggs were provided quickly and without problem.
Liked everything about the hotel. All the staff were very helpful, especially Vanya, our waitress Desi and Ani just to name a few. Manager Silvia Penova, although working away from the hotel was also exceptionally good and "looked after us" with the aid of emails. Any problems that we had (which were minor) were soon attended to and sorted out. Liked the size of the hotel which was very clean. Nice restaurant. The food was good. Will definitely, given the opportunity, stay at the hotel again. In fact I've already booked for next year at the same time in May, although may postpone that until September/October 2024.

United States of AmericaGuests are allowed to "occupy" a pool chair with just a towel, which means most of the day, half the chairs are "occupied" even though no one is there. Coffee sucks.
Nicely situated on Nessebar's south beach, Aphrodite is a well-run hotel with parking, pool, bar and restaurant on the seafront, a few minutes walk from numerous restaurants and old town. Rooms have balconies, a kettle, and fridge. Staff are friendly.

A lovely hotel in a great location. Great food. Good room. Fly screens on the balcony doors so you get a nice sea breeze in the Night.

United States of AmericaThe property suited our needs perfectly - we wanted a beachside location close to Old Nessebar with on-site dining. It was clean and the staff were helpful. The most friendly person we met was the receptionist the evening we arrived.
The pool and beach were lovely! The poolside seating offered lots of opportunities to find a comfortable spot to relax. The restaurant had a wide variety of food and beverages for breakfast - there was something for everyone. We particularly enjoyed the large veranda overlooking the pool and Black Sea. We left our door open to hear the waves crashing against the shoreline as we slept. It was wonderful!

AustraliaWas all good, except aircon can’t keep up on top floor, we were too hot in our room. Hate the smoking allowed on balconies. Also hate the public beach being overtaken by business renting out sunbeds and umbrellas. In Australia, both these things are not allowed, it’s great!

BulgariaPillows were low quality and uncomfortable. Absolutely no privacy on the balcony, needs solid dividers from the other rooms. More fruit or a fruit salad at breakfast would have been nice and some vegan options.
Really nice beachfront location. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Food and service at the beach bar was exceptional. really good vegan choices. Pool was nice with enough sun loungers and just a few metres away from the beach. Overall a very nice place.

SwitzerlandThe coffee from the automatic machine at breakfast is very low quality. We ordered a coffee at the bar (for an affordable price) and it was excellent, but we had to wait in a long queue, as it seemed that the person using the coffee machine was not very used to it and it was taking her forever to make one. Would be great to have additional lights above the mirror in the bathroom.
Location, access to the beach, pool facilities - all clean, live flowers and plants at the pool, compliment water and small bottle of wine, sea view from the room, spacious room, good shower, comfortable big bed. We liked the choice of food at breakfast with options like buckwheat and local cheese.
