Aldoar - Foz do Douro - Nevogilde, Porto

We were made to feel like home by the owners, the view was absolutely stunning and the location is amazing for a relaxing trip. The mattress and the pillows were very good quality and very comfortable, which in turn made us want to spend even more time in bed. All in all just very good.
Sandim
At the resort the rooms come with air conditioning, a wardrobe, a patio with a mountain view, a private bathroom, a flat-screen TV, bed linen and towels. Rooms have a coffee machine, while some rooms also boast a balcony and others also feature pool views. All rooms will provide guests with a fridge. It was a beautiful place. Some cabins are equipped better than others but overall a nicely done compound.
Ucanha
The 4-star Douro Cister Hotel features accommodation in deluxe rooms and bungalows amidst tranquil surroundings. It includes outdoor and indoor swimming pool, a restaurant and a spa and wellness centre. From the staff, specially the concierge to the facilities/location everything was perfect. Coming back during Winter is already planned!
Esposende
Modern rooms at Axis Ofir Beach Resort Hotel open out onto private balconies. Each room is air conditioned, equipped with satellite TV channels, a minibar and includes en suite bathrooms with hairdryer. Great location, right by the beach. Pizzeria near by serving great food. View from the balcony was good, could see out onto the pool and beach.

Boasting family rooms and a house, this property also provides guests with a barbecue. Very interesting house , elegant design, unique furniture . Very clean and ironed snow-white bed linen and soft towels. Very good breakfast. Interesting territory and location.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay, from the friendly WhatsApp messages recommending places to go, to being welcomed by the wonderful Susana, from the BEAUTIFUL bedroom to the fantastic shower... It was a truly great stay in a small hotel, perfect for a girls weekend away! The atmosphere is low key, relaxed luxury. The location is also excellent, we really enjoyed the nearby area - great independent restaurants, shops and bars.
Very nice and well equipped new luxury hostel with incredible bang for buck. Big living room and kitchen, washing machine, hair dryer, grill, rooftop area, lovely garden, ping pong table and more. Peacefull area with big food market and metro station close by. Also kind of easy walking distance from the city centre.
Set in beautiful grounds with a unique rustic authentic feel. When I asked the staff for help with anything they were very obliging but sadly not overly pro active. Located a 20 minute walk from the eco via, which takes you on an hour walk into Ponte de Lima. The spa is a nice touch but definitely not ‘luxury’ and the flagship goats milk bath and massage although lovely was overpriced. The hotel also allowed me use of their bikes free of charge.
I stayed on the way of the camino, the swimming pool was the luxury after the long walk. Sandra was very kind and warm and we could really treat ourselves like home.
Everything! Great location, spotlessly clean, very well furnished with luxury toiletries,beautiful quality bed linen and the large terrace with comfy furniture was great for relaxing in the sunshine. The fresh fruit, bottle of port and the delicious Portuguese custard tarts were a lovely welcome too. The owners Carolina and Miguel responded to us very quickly when we had an issue and nothing was too much bother, they were extremely helpful and friendly.
Both the place and service level was that of a 5-star luxury resort. Very beautiful and modern property, with spacious common areas. They have a gorgeous pool surrounded by nature, and they are building a spa and indoor pool. We notice that even the little things like coffee machine and pots were from a good brand. They did not spare any expense to make their guests feel comfortable. The service from Anna was impeccable, she was welcoming and helpful with suggestions.
Feel home small hotel with exceptionally friendly staff. Top location in Foz do Douro, with authentic and not as touristic atmosphere compared to Porto city and beach resort Matosinhos. Fantastic sea view from the room’s balcony. Many excellent restaurants nearby (A Capoeira, Casa da Rocha, Cepa Torta, O Balcao do mercado…)
Great location, clean rooms, all you need for perfect price. Of course it is not a luxury resort, but small probably family run business in a older building. I felt very welcomed and comfortable for that price.
