Saccharum - Resort & Spa is a luxury 5-star design hotel located on Calheta Beach, between the mountains of Madeira and the Atlantic Ocean. This hotel features a rooftop infinity pool, conference rooms, a buffet and an à la carte restaurant and four bars. The hotel location was amazing! The view from breakfast and rooftop is breathtaking, its nicely close to Lobosonda whale watching (best whale watching company) :-) Friendly stuff and well organized hotel overall!

Stayed here for my honeymoon and we both loved it. The rooms and the property were just as shown in the images on line and the staff treated us with care and intent. The property is also located along a lovely walking trail so it was excellent.

The 5-star hotel combines exotically decorated interiors and contemporary architecture." Superb location with direct access to the sea - (however there is no beach but rock-set steps to the water ). There is a huge sun-lounging terrace with plenty of sun-beds . Hotel was originally a time share apartment building which has been converted to a hotel . The suite rooms have a separate kitchen and there is room service available so private dining on the terrace is a very pleasant availability .

The location is stunning, surrounded by beautiful forest and incredible mountains. The property is amazingly maintained. The Villas are luxurious, beautifully designed, perfectly integrated into the landscape with views of the vineyard, the valley, the mountains, and nearby the ocean. We can hear the sound of the river, the birds. At night the sky is magical with so many stars. The pool and sauna both have gorgeous views. Each morning a selection of fresh baked breads are delivered to you and a well stocked fridge is refreshed every day with farm fresh eggs, cheese, homemade jams, fruit, meats, and more. We also had a wonderful dinner with wine pairing. The best meal we had on vacation was here. The wine of the property is delicious. Maria and Marco are lovely hosts and care for their guests. They close attention to every last detail. They go out of their way to make you feel at home, the staff is great. They are helpful, generous, and friendly. The best hosts ever we met! Boasting air-conditioned accommodation with a private pool, sea view and a balcony, Luxury villa with private heated pool, garden and views of the sea and mountains. Is situated in Arco da Calheta. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. The accommodation features a 24-hour front desk, full-day security and currency exchange for guests. We stayed at the villa for five days and didn’t want to leave. It offered much space, large meal tables, spacious bedrooms, luxurious beds and mattresses, and a fully equipped kitchen.

The properly is located in the city center but not on the main street which makes it perfect as it is really quiet. The location has a terrace as well, available for all the rooms which has a great view of the harbor. The rooms were tidy and cleaned everyday. Also, the continental breakfast was perfect each day. The hosts are very nice and can help with additional info of the main attractions. This is the perfect spot for who wants to enjoy a good location, with a great value for money but aren’t looking for luxury.

Thuis was the best place that we ever stayed at. I don’t mean in the sense of luxury, but the feeling of home. The apartment was very clean and it had everything you could ask for. It was close to everything: the beach, really good restaurants, shopping places. It had a really big closed parking space. And had the best views. And the best of all was the host. Nelson went beyond any expectations in terms of friendliness and carrying for our every need.
this is a very unique resort and more luxurious than actually looks in the pictures! The staff goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is actually perfect! Puts other 5 star hotels to shame honestly

Nice resort with good location and views
The food, location, cleanliness, WiFi, spa resort, the public places, free parking for the hotel guests and the wiev from the balconies and above all the garden were beautiful. These things were excellent.
For the price compared to all the hotels nearby this hotel was EXCELLENT!! This is definitely not a luxury resort but you ARE getting more than you pay for. I'd highly recommend staying here if you're on a budget - it's clean, well located and the staff are really easy going and helpful.
I absolutely liked everything. But the staff was amazing. I cannot put in words. The hotel was good, and the location too, but without the staff it would be just another hotel. Don’t get me wrong, the location and the facilities were good, but what makes this hotel my number one hotel on my list, after being in many luxury hotels and all inclusive, is the staff. I will certainly return to Vila vivência, if I go back to madeira.
