Looking back upon a 100 year-long tradition in hospitality the historical Grandhotel Stary Smokovec in the centre of the High Tatras, only 3 minutes from the departure station of the Hrebienok cable... We loved everything about our stay in Grand hotel Stary Smokovec. It was not our first time there, but it was the first time with our toddler and she had the absolute best time! The staff was super kind and helped us with everything we needed. They also made special arrangement regarding our room - extra bed for no fee and bathrobe and cute slippers for our little one. The hotel is simply beautiful and has great amenities - The spa and wellness is very clean, well organised and super pleasant. Children can play in huge kids room close to the bar so the parents can enjoy coffee, drinks and even food while watching their children having great time. The restaurant was awesome - tasty food and many many options for breakfast, lunch and amazing a la carte dinner. Even special request of our daughter for a glass of milk in the evening was fulfilled! The hotel staff is a team of great professionals. The fact that there is private parking right in front of the hotel and the location of this hotel being in the center of Stary Smokovec is obviously a huge +. You can choose from variety of rooms, we had a junior suite and it was very spacious and quiet with a view from one side on Lomnicky stit and from the other on the sunrise above Poprad. We will definitely come back again!

Nastanitev Hotel Eufória je v mestu Nová Lesná, 22 km od znamenitosti jezero Štrbské Pleso, in nudi vrt, brezplačno zasebno parkirišče, teraso ter bar. Very clean rooms, amazing staff, they went over and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We loved the decent breakfast and outstanding dinners as well.

Set in the highest level of protection in High Tatras National Park, BILÍKOVA CHATA - Horský hotel is located on the south-east facing slope of Slavkovský Peak, and is 300 metres from Hrebienok... Beautiful recently renovated and clean room with a stunning view of the mountains. It has a nice two person private sauna you can reserve. The restaurant serves good Slovak food and drinks for very reasonable prices. They even have their own souvenirs, postcards and snacks for sale. But most of all it's a lovely mountain hut with the benefits of a hotel, and the perfect base for hikers who want to enjoy nature. Multiple marked trails are right outside of your doorstep! It's accessible by foot or fernicular (expensive cable car), and just outside of the business and tourism of Hrebienok if like us you don't like the skiing vibe.

This impeccably restored unique hotel is a house with a historic heritage, nestled in an idyllic landscape with a breathtaking Tatra mountain backdrop. This building and the family owning it is deeply integrated into the history of the surrounding towns and the Tatras. The building has been beautifully renovated recently, and they managed to perfectly keep the old style while providing all the modern conveniences. From the moment you arrive and the owner greets you, you feel like you are visiting with friends instead of staying in a hotel. They always have a few kind words for you and go out of their way to help you. We did have a special request beforehand, which was perfectly organized. They can also give you great advice for your time in the Tatras. The breakfast is a full continental selection, and according to the owners, they just started doing dinners. This is usually a buffet of 2 soups and 2-3 main courses, but created by a talented chef, expertly bringing traditional Slovakian flavours into modern cuisine. We are a family of foodies, so we actively seek out different restaurants to try the local food, but this time we were more than happy to have dinners in the hotel. The wellness needs to be booked a little bit in advance at the reception. But then you get a whole part of the building just for yourselves, with a sauna and a jacuzzi bath, and best of all, a spacious room with a fireplace and a bar where you can relax. Even though we are not wellness fanatics, we all found it lovely and definitely worth to try. It's obvious from my superlatives that it was one of the very best hotel stays in my life. It's almost on the level of the Japanese ryokans that I have experienced. This is not a luxury place, but a quality place, if you can appreciate the difference. Also, it's a quiet place, so you probably shouldn't go there if you want to party. On the other hand, if you want to relax and enjoy the surroundings, you won't be disappointed.

Hotel Hubert Vital Resort in Gerlachov offers a restaurant, a spa area and horse riding facilities. The rooms are fitted with a satellite TV, minibar and most rooms have a balcony. I did like a food, ,area, animals everything was nice and clean and also pets friendly 🙂

Nastanitev Greenwood hotel se nahaja v mestu Nový Smokovec, 17 km od znamenitosti jezero Štrbské Pleso, in ponuja teraso, brezplačno zasebno parkirišče, bar ter neposreden dostop do smučišča. Breakfast was very good. It was well done and had a good variety of choices. We were very happy with it .

Located at the foot of the High Tatras in the town of Stary Smokovec, Grand Hotel BELLEVUE offers an indoor pool, a spa area 2 restaurants and a night club. Everything was perfect. Food, staff, facility, surroundings, etc. Thanks again.

Hotel Amalia is a modern facility with traditional wooden features. It features panoramic views of the Tatra Mountains from spacious rooms. Friendly staff, good location in quiet surroundings , a nice pool and comfy bed, tasty dinner.

The newly renovated Atrium Hotel High Tatras near to the funicular to the Hrebienok set 300 metres away and the town of Stary Smokovec offers you cosy en-suite rooms with balconies and internet... My wife and I spent Christmas and New Year at the Atrium Hotel High Tatras. Throughout our stay the staff did everything to insure we had a wonderful holiday. The facilities more than met our expectations. From the reception, the restaurants, wellness center, to the bowling bar the staff were most curtiest. Both the breakfast and dinner buffets were outstanding with a wide variety off dishes to select from. Adjacent to the hotel is a ski slope which is also well maintained.
