Dating back to 1881, this family-owned hotel is located in central Västervik, right next to Västervik Train Station. It offers individually decorated rooms with free Wi-Fi access and cable TV. The way I was welcomed. The storage of the bike wasn‘t a problem… and so on. The breakfast.

This early 1800s castle is 10 minutes’ drive from Västervik. It offers fine dining, free spa access and a private beach. All rooms include free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV. Everything was superb. The best spa we have ever used. Dinner excellent. Room fabulous with amazing view. Comfy bed and quiet rooms. Staff on reception made us so welcome and attended to our every need. Compliments to Jamie in restaurant and Veronica at reception.

Situated within a 5-minute walk of Kalmar Castle and the city’s Central Station, this good-value hotel provides free WiFi. All rooms include a flat-screen TV. Great hotel very close to the Kalmar castle. We stayed in the budget accomodation across the street. The room was big and had everything we needed. Nice view on the backgarden. Breakfast was great with plenty of options to choose from. We were happily surprised that in the evening we could dine for free. Also very kind and helpfull staff. We would definately stay here again!

I booked a single room, but got I big one with double bed. The lady at reception was very polite. Bathroom is big and modern. Location is great. Very close to bus station.

Situated among 18th and 19th century villas in a park setting, this charming hotel is 3 minutes’ walk from Kalmar Castle. Free WiFi is available. Excellent location (trully first grade just 5 min from the castle of Kalmar and old town), friendly staff, excellent breakfast (and we were offered a free supper as well but I am not sure if this is a standard).

Housed in an old harbour warehouse, the Clarion Collection Hotel Packhuset boasts spectacular views of the Kalmar Sound and the Öland Bridge. We had a wonderful time at Clarion Collection Hotel Packhuset. The room was clean and large and the bed was very comfortable. We really liked the presence of a rich buffet for breakfast and dinner, as well as coffee with cake every afternoon. We also profited from the gym and the sauna, which are available for guests.
