Located in a former 18th-century wine estate, this luxury hotel overlooks vineyards and the Douro Valley. A great location in the Douro river . I had a room with an outdoor terrace with a beautiful view of the river and surrounding vineyards. Heaps of space and the bed was super comfy. This was my one indulgence while I was in Portugal and it did not disappoint.

Arrived super early but room was ready so let me check in. Off road parking within the grounds for motorbike and able to park at rear out of sight although it’s a quiet place, beautiful views, good breakfast and room was very spacious clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful. Nearest super market was around 11km away. Petrol station just up the road and there’s a restaurant around 1.5k or so up the road that does lunch and evening meals.
