It has lots of charm from the outside and is modern and clean inside. There are areas inside the property that show parts of the buildings history and old working life. There is a small but beautiful garden at the back of the property that is perfect for relaxing in.

This is such a nice hotel in a beautiful location close to Pinhao (walking distance). The view over Douro river is breathtaking and the different facilities so nicely renovated. The breakfast one of the best I have ever had and the dinner restaurant served super good food - no need to eat in the village. Stay at the hotel and enjoy the facility, the view and the great food. Of course the wines are excellent and also - to our surprise - the beer.

Overlooking the scenic Douro River Valley, Quinta da Casa Cimeira, Guest House, Wines & Food is set in a historic country house and surrounded by a garden and vineyards. It features an outdoor pool and an on-site restaurant. Our stay at this working vineyard and home stay honestly absolutely made our Douro Valley experience wonderful! Situated on one of the highest spots in the region, the breathtaking views from this 300 year old stay were complimented by the warm and friendly welcome we received from owner and host, Miguel. After a port wine on arrival and introduction, he showed us to our room on the top floor. The views of the valley down to Pinhao are simply stunning, the room, spacious and comfortable. Later Miguel provides a devious local dinner, with paired wine and attentive service. The set up involves all the guests (no more than about 10 max) eating together and sharing a lovely evening ending with more wine and port and Miguel on hand to share many insights of the region and the history of his vineyard. After a comfortable night, it’s a hearty breakfast getting you set for your day. I would recommend this stay for anyone considering Douro Valley. Miguel will make sure your stay is memorable and the low cost in no way reflects the high standard of the experience!

Situated within 13 km of Natur Waterpark and 37 km of Douro Museum, Casa do Santo - Wine & Tourism features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Provesende. This farm stay has a pool with a view, a garden and free private parking. The accommodation offers luggage storage space and a housekeeping service for guests. We had a wonderful experience at Casa do Santo for our 2 night stay. Maria was very hospitable, helpful, and knowledgable. The views of the Douro valley are beautiful. The small, quaint village is a quick drive to the Douro river with amazing views of the hillside vineyards. Breakfast was delicious. We will definitely stay here again when we return to this area.

There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi, free private parking and an electric vehicle charging station. When we arrived, we were met by the hostess of the quinta, Helena. She walked us through the main floor entrance area, explaining the history of the building with pride. I almost cried as I walked around: it was breathtaking! We could feel the love of Helena & Ricardo everywhere within their home. Such attention to detail, and the details were plentiful! Everywhere you turned, there was something that caught our eyes. As we had arrived late in the day, we were exhausted and starving. We asked if it was possible to get something to eat. The most beautiful charcuterie board was made up for us, and an outstanding wine was recommended by their charming & humourous sommelier/maitre d'/server, Johan! The wine was so great that we took a 2nd bottle up to our room for a nightcap. Our room was beautiful & comfortable, complete with a terrace outside that led to the infinity pool. The pool overlooked the valley, adding another level of beauty to our stay. The breakfasts were varied, fresh and plentiful! Such a great selection, from amazing fresh breads, farm fresh yogourt, eggs done to your liking, artisanal cheeses, homemade granola, beautiful fresh fruit, incredible fresh orange juice...I could go on and on and on.....!!!!! The property is vast: we took a long walk up the paths & terraces to new heights overlooking their little piece of heaven. The views all around were so incredibly peaceful & beautiful! This was the last stop on our journey through Portugal and definitely our favourite! Sometimes you meet people on your journey who you just connect with. Helena & Ricardo are 2 of those special people to us, becoming instant friends. They are truly the heart & soul of Quinta de Travassinhos.

She transformed the whole house into a beautiful place. Very well thought out. The room was spacious, the common areas were very nice, we definitely recommend. Thank you Sara.

It was a haven close to paradise. The tranquility, beautiful surroundings were second to none. The Hosts and staff were most attentive and accommodating.
