What a fantastic surprise this stay ended up being. We booked it during our travels for a quick place to stop at after visiting Hobbiton and on our way to Auckland without expecting much. However, the old world charm, the excellently maintained hot springs, and the delicious dinner were all great surprises.

Kea Motel & Holiday Park is situated in Putaruru. Among the various facilities of this property are barbecue facilities and a garden. Both private parking and free WiFi are accessible at the hotel. Clean all necessary things was there including dishes, Clean towels, paid laundry microwave, heating equipments. Best stay!

Built in 1952, Putaruru Hotel is located in Putaruru, in the heart of the Waikato Region. The building has art deco features and free private parking is available on site. Good location, very helpful and friendly staff! Have stayed here a few times for the night when doing big trips.

It was lovely to have breakfast sorted in the morning. Carmen thoughtfully left a loaf of freshly made bread on the bench and treats in the fridge. The house was amazing, everything you need for a quick get away. And the bed was super comfy.
