Offering garden views, Portobello Settler's Cottage is an accommodation situated in Portobello, 23 km from Taieri Gorge Railway and 24 km from Forsyth Barr Stadium. A charming cottage, comfortably appointed and with so much character. Super quiet at night, we thought it was a great base from which to explore the Otago Peninsula, handy for the albatross colony and penguins, and close to Portobello for grocery shopping and dining. The lovely garden was in its summer glory, full of flowers and herbs and vegetables which we were encouraged to use during our stay. Cooking facilities were simple but effective and we were nice and warm on a coolish night. Really delightful, we'd stay again.

Boasting a garden and harbour views, Roselle Farm Cottage features accommodation in Portobello with free WiFi and garden views. We spent a lovely 3 days in Paula's little house. It provided an ideal base to visit the Otago peninsula area. Paula couldn't have been a more friendly and helpful host. We had a wonderful break.

The accommodation is a beautifully maintained and elegantly furnished house built in the early 1900s. It's set in lovely gardens with an amazing view over the harbour. Despite the size and elegance of the house, however, Ana made us feel comfortable and relaxed and very much as though we were staying in a friend's home. Her breakfasts lived up to the expectations set by previous reviews. We would certainly stay here again.

The overall facility was great. The fact that the price included access to the castle was appreciated.

Situated 500 metres from the gates of Larnach Castle, Camp Estate offers modern rooms with views of the surrounding countryside and toward the harbour. The rooms are very luxurious with beautiful amenities. The bath tub was huge, great views from the property. The staff were incredibly helpful & kind. I did not realize breakfast was included so that was a nice surprise to have a home cooked breakfast to order. We stayed for 2 nights. Thank you so much. Also the pillows and bed were 10/10 comfy!

The air-conditioned accommodation is 12 km from Taieri Gorge Railway.... Everything! The bedroom and bathroom were beautifully decorated and the bed was very comfortable - much needed after a long drive. We really loved the interior design and amenities provided! Paul was such an amazing host, friendly, accommodative and provided us with valuable recommendations. The view from our room was amazing and we loved the hot drinks/snacks provided upon check-in. The place was quiet, peaceful and we appreciate the proximity of the place to Albatross Centre, avoiding a long drive to town on a dark night. I would recommend the place to everyone!

We saw seals and many estuary birds 5 minutes’ drive away and Albatrosses another few miles beyond that.
