Parking is freee after 5pm in nearby roads (just 1min away). Old town (German style) is just talking distance. You can actually see Alesund in 1hr by walking. Must visit Aksla View Point (can go by car in 10mins drive) or can walk up (entrance is just 100ft away from Hotel).
