Very friendly staff, beautiful room, interesting decorations. Breakfast is great! The area of Gelderland is peaceful and we saw deer, donkeys, also horse, cows and goats.
Superb view on the lake. Animal friendly. Direct access to the lake which looks like a lagoon. Not deep, good to swim and paddle. Taking a drink in front of the view was really enjoyable. Sunset is nice, reflecting on the water. 2 types of rooms with a view: on the 1st floor and on the ground floor (terrace access).
Van der Valk has everything!! We had so much fun exploring all the facilities - the spa, gym, pool, sauna, rooftop bar, restaurant, casino.. It was a wonderful weekend.

This is a lovely hotel which was an old sanitorium and the separate buildings have been converted into large comfortable rooms with good showers. The buffet dinner was great value and very good. Sitting outside by the fountain was wonderful.
