The guide ( Mr Ureera ) is very knowledgable ( plants @ birds ). The walk was about 8 km and took 3.5 hours. As we only could start 8.15 it was a bit hot at the end ( more than 30 degree).

We strayed in a very comfortable tent with 2 twin beds. The locations is wonderful, perfect place to see the sunset. During the day the elephants walk close to the lodge. Providing a restaurant, Hobatere lodge provides accommodation in Otjovasandu. Guests at the lodge can enjoy a Full English/Irish breakfast. close to wild nature. nice room and the restaurant area with a waterhole close. very peacful and relaxing. all the staff is very helpful and made us feel welcome and really did the best for us to enjoy and feel comfortable. We appreciated Martin as a guide and his deep knowledge about flora and fauna in the area. we like the idea that the lodge is run by the community.
