Set in Bentota, a few steps from Induruwa Beach, Villa Thamburu, Bentota offers accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. Our stay at Villa Thamburu was absolutely perfect. The villa is absolutely beautiful and the facilities / rooms are fantastic. The staff are the biggest asset - they were so attentive and made our stay really special by always going above and beyond for us. The restaurant is also brilliant and we particularly loved the garden and pool areas. It feels really private and luxurious so we could not ask for more.

The property is absolutely breathtaking, the architecture, design, gardens and surrounding nature is truely an unforgettable experience. If you appreciate art and design this property is a must. The staff make the stay extra special with their friendliness and attention to detail. The food is also delicious!

Staff più di gentile, sempre a sorridere e a portarci quello che ci serviva. Il ristorante è particolarmente interessante, bello, buonissimo cibo locale e di altri parti dell'Asia. Piscina molto agradevole e il mare a temperatura veramente calda.

We had just booked for one night, which we changed to two nights as soon as we arrived. Built to a very high standard with big modern rooms of 5* quality with big terraces. Great WIFI connection and speeds.

La struttura ha nel complesso un potenziale enorme: il giardino è veramente eccezionale, pieno di piante tropicali fiorite e popolato di uccelli colorati e altri animali. Iniziare la giornata sul terrazzino della nostra dependance con una (super) colazione immersi in questo spettacolo è stato veramente bellissimo. Ari e la sua famiglia sono veramente gentili e disponibili ad aiutare. La stanza assegnata era piuttosto ampia anche se un po' buia. La pulizia era ok. Con una passeggiata di 10 minuti in una zona tranquilla e senza traffico si arriva alla spiaggia principale di Bentota e ad alcuni ristoranti.

Fabulously relaxing, very clean, service exceptional, very comfortable, food really good, beach close by but not needed as pool luxurious. A balm to the physical and mental health. Absolutely Stunning property, beautiful decorated. Amazing breakfasts ( delicious fluffy pancakes made to order with local treacle, fantastic eggs Benedict & enjoyed the waffles with spicy dressing & eggs! very stunning bedroom with the best bed & private sitting out area. Enjoyed watching the trains go by as the train track literally runs along the end of the garden, before the beach! We had 2 lunches during our stay - delicious prawn curry, Lanka & seared tuna dishes. The service from all the hotel staff was incredible, would thoroughly recommend The Long House if you’re looking for a quite relaxing luxury stay

Situata accanto al pittoresco fiume Bentota, all'interno di un santuario protetto delle mangrovie di acqua salata, a 2 km dalla splendida spiaggia e dal centro di Bentota, la struttura Selavi Resort. Selavi in Bentota is value for money at an exeptionally nice peacefully located waterfront villa with beautiful garden and wildlife. This was our best accomodation in Srilanka so far. We stayed in the Junior Suite with bath & Terrace. It's a fantastic and comfortable luxury room with a private terrace and a very nice bathroom. The room is equipped with Aircondition, hot & cold water, dual use private bathroom, refrigerator, fan with regulator, Satellite Tv including all European channels, high speed Wifi, clean new white linen and bathroom towels, bathtub, bidet and high-quality fittings. And free Tea & Coffee and electric kettle, free bottled drinking water. All for USD 55 for the double room per night - amazing. The breakfast was amacing and included in the price. It included strong coffee, good Srilankan fresh fruits, jam, butter, toast and Srilankan omelette. Breakfast served in the restaurant while watching the small fishingboats. They served a very tasty seafood dinner with prawns & calamari incoconut cream, curry and green vegetables salad, which also was amacing, for just USD 15 p.p. After breakfast we enjoyed an unforgettable Bentota River Safari and saw many animals like Monitor lizards, Fruit bats, babycrocodiles, Mongoose, kingfisher, colorful birds and Water Lilies in theirs natural habitat. It was a nice experience, and compared to other River Safari at Madhu ganga, there was not much boat traffic. It was a nice peaceful River Safari, all for 30 USD with a very good safari driver who saw all the animals much before us. During the day, Elion, the manager and tour guide, drove us to the Kandevihra Budhist temple and to a beautiful garden named Brief Garden. Next time we visit Srilanka, we will do a bird watching tour to Bundala, Yala and Kandy with Elion as his knowledge about the country's history and culture and birds is awesome. Selavi also has a very good home visited Ayurveda Masseur.
