Exploring the Mekong River at Mekong Bird Resort Strung Treng Located in northeastern Cambodia, the Mekong Bird Resort Strung Treng offers a unique and unforgettable experience for nature lovers and adventure seekers. This beautiful resort is situated on the banks of the mighty Mekong River, surrounded by lush greenery and home to an abundance of bird species. The resort also provides exciting boat and kayak tours that allow guests to explore the stunning river and its surrounding areas. Recently, I had the opportunity to visit this amazing place and I must say, it was one of the best trips I have ever taken. As soon as I arrived at the resort, I was greeted with warm smiles from the staff. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and I was immediately taken in by the tranquil atmosphere of the resort. The lush gardens, wooden bungalows, and beautiful views of the Mekong River made me feel like I was in paradise. The bungalows at Mekong Bird Resort Strung Treng are designed to blend in with the natural surroundings, providing a comfortable yet rustic experience. Each bungalow is equipped with all the necessary amenities including a comfortable bed, a private bathroom, and a balcony overlooking the river. As I settled into my bungalow, I couldn't help but appreciate how well-maintained and clean everything was. The resort truly takes pride in providing its guests with a comfortable and pleasant stay. One of the highlights of my trip was the boat tour on the Mekong River. The resort offers both private and group boat tours that take you on a journey through some of the most scenic areas of the river. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly, pointing out different bird species and sharing interesting facts about the local culture and history. We also had the opportunity to visit a nearby floating village where we got to interact with the locals and learn about their way of life.

Featuring free WiFi, Pomelo Restaurant and Guesthouse's Fishermen Bungalow & A Tammarine Bungalow River Front is peacefully situated in Don Khon island. We had a wonderful time at Tan's place. He is an amazing host, and the bungalow is overlooking the Mekong. There's plenty to do for people who love nature. The accommodation is super simple yet comfortable and clean. There is a partner restaurant nearby with a great view and the food is yummy! We got to know Tan, and he has many stories to tell; lots of laughs and interesting facts about the area. Coffee and breakfast is 'absolutely amazing' and SUNSET is phenomenal! <3

Pomelo Restaurant and Guesthouse- Serene Bliss, Life in the Tranquil Southend of Laos offers a quiet and relaxing stay in Don Khone Island. The property is a very basic but right on the bank of the Mekong River, in a small fishing village. No shops or ATMs. Our hut on stilts had a small balcony with a spectacular view of the river, a spacious bedroom with a comfy bed and mosquito net and a seating area, and a good hot shower. it is a guesthouse - do not expect hotel-type service, but Mr Tam and the two girls are willing to help if you ask. He no longer runs a restaurant but there are two - simple but good, with views over the river, a minute’s walk away. We’d’ve stayed longer if we could.

The position of the place is perfect to discover the island. The person that handles the property is amazing, struggling a little bit with the English but he will definitely try to help you with your questions. The food is amazing as well and the restaurant is on the river, perfect for enjoying a nice breakfast!

Sweetest staff ever. Good location, hamacs are clearly a plus (and you get two spaces where each person can relax alone; def a plus)

Sala Done Khone Hotel is a 40-minute drive from Khonephapheng Waterfall. Offering modern accommodation, the hotel features a tour desk, pool and shuttle service. We had a terrific stay in the Floating Studio -- one of a kind experience getting to stay on the river. The staff is extremely friendly, the breakfast is good, and the location is excellent. Thanks!
