Connected directly to JR Morioka Station offering guest a convenient spot for shopping and dining, Hotel Metropolitan Morioka provides accommodation with a bar and free WiFi. We chose this hotel because it is next to Morioka station. When we arrived we realised it was actually adjoining which was a bonus. The hotel is very new and modern and exceptionally clean. We noticed that there was a section of rooms for female guests only with separate security access. Value for money given the location and facilities was fantastic.

Located a 5-minute drive from JR Morioka Station, Kita Hotel offers simple yet functional rooms with free WiFi and wired internet access. Staff was very friendly during check in and they even spoke English, which was very helpful. They let me park on-site, which cost 900yen. If their lot is full, there is a paid parking lot on the corner available too. The single room was very spacious, clean and modern. The location is perfect, just a few minutes walking from the castle site and there are plenty of restaurants nearby, as well as konbini across the road. Morioka is a wonderful city and I am glad I stayed here!

Daiwa Roynet Hotel Morioka is conveniently located in the shopping and dining area of Morioka city, and offering easy access to tourist attractions. Staff were wonderful and extremely helpful in helping getting my luggage forwarded onto another hotel. The room was fairly spacious for a solo traveller, and the amenities bar in the lobby was well stocked. Plenty wash and tumledryers too. Bed was a little hard for my tastes but still perfectly reasonable for sleeping. Room was larger than expected, with a great view of Mount Iwate when the clouds allowed, with a bright bathroom and powerful shower. Check-in is at 14.00, an hour or two earlier than at most hotels in Japan, and the location is unbeatable: the hotel is attached to the train station and next to local buses. It's also connected to a shopping centre, with a bakery that opens fast 07.00, meaning you can nip down and bring a breakfast back up to the comfort of your room. Staff speak English and are professional and pleasant.
The location was amazing as it was very close to the station. Furthermore, you can see the amazing view of Mt. Iwate from just outside the hotel. Although the rooms were a bit small, they were pretty clean and comfortable. The support from the staff during check-in and check-out was very good too.

Beautiful quiet location by the lake easy to get to from Morioka. Very clean well maintained facilities including several beautiful onsens. The staff was kind and accommodating despite my very limited Japanese language understanding. I loved the view of the lake and Mount Iwate from my room.
I always stay with family in Iwate, and this was the first time I stayed at a hotel. It was clean, breakfast included great options and was very helpful to have! There is a combini across the street, staff were friendly and helpful, plus the baths on the ground floor were great.
The hotel is very well situated at one end of the restaurant strip in Morioka. The west facing rooms have beautiful views of the snow covered mountains in winter. It is a one hour’s drive, or less, to at least five of Iwate prefecture’s ski resorts.
The hotel was close to the rock-splitting cherry tree and Iwate Park. Breakfast was delicious and decent in terms of Muslim-friendliness - the grilled mackerel was delicious (assuming it didn't contain mirin). Check out was quite fast.
Most friendly and helpful staff. Always with a smile. Hotel is really close to Iwate Park which was perfect for our visiting during cherry blossom. Go visit Chillin Music Bar for an evening when around. Great experience

I like the restaurants' selection and their excellent service quality, which was in my experience, exceptional for ski resorts. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. I enjoyed walking around in the hotel, it is clean and thoughtfully maintained. The shuttle bus service is also good, pickup from the train station is hassles-free.
The amenities are great, the staff friendly, polite, and extremely accommodating. The food is outstanding - generous portions, extraordinary variety and really fresh as a lot of it is grown in the hotel garden. The location is a little out of Hiraizumi but it doesn’t matter - there’s a shuttle, and the location is serene and beautiful. Also the onsen is amazing!

Park Hotel is clearly a high end hotel catering to the sufficiently affluent, with good class facilities, service and food. We were treated well even tho we had hiked for 6 hours in the snow and looked like a trio of disheveled backpackers. The staff took extra effort to explain things in English to us, even introducing the local breakfast delicacies so we knew what we were eating.
Amazing room and great location. We had the pleasure to try sulfur onsen and it was really great. Such a nice relaxing time in this hotel.
Staff was very patient and friendly. Room and provided pajamas were comfortable.
The dinner was superb. The room has the ocean view with many of Matsushima islands. The hot spring bath were great. They had one on the main floor and on the top floor with the outside view. I also had the oil massage. The hotel decor is Indian Buddhist. It is very clean and roomy. I really enjoyed the meals.
Breakfast and dinner were outstanding.
