Instead of booking a crowded tour from labuan bajo this is an option that not everyone knows. You don t even need to go to the national park to see the dragons because they are directly behind the village! Also jackie can organise all the trips to the manta point, padar, pink beach etc..recommended if you don't care to have basic facilities and a more true indoneisan experience!

The best part of the home stay is that you can tailor your stay according to your needs and liking. Khulna is always there to help you and meet your needs. He also called me weeks before our arrival and sent all the pricing sharing his advice and suggestions. We saw many Komodo Dragons, fish, mantas and had great times every day. It was very hard to leave.We enjoyed the stay very much and will be back very soon!!!

Komodo Resort is located on Sebayur Island bordering Komodo National Park, an hour’s boat ride from the Komodo Dragon Tour on Rinca Island. The place is just paradise! Amazing island with an amazing coral reef just in front of the resort. I wish we could have stayed more days. The staff is great.

We are a French couple and tried this genuine experience for 3 nights on beg December 2023. We are very happy and recommend it, but we believe it must be clear what to and not to expect. We hope the details below will help other travelers. First challenge is to contact Jahiding, the lovely host who is also a komodo ranger. You will get his WhatsApp once you book the stay. Once on the Island, Jahiding will take care of you from A to Z, he stayed with us as the guide during the tours we planed with him and the captain. It's a private small boat (meaning not big) and you can choose where to go and how long you stay at each spot. We believe It was a privilege compared to other tours with dozens of people and timed visits. -Transportation The main challenge is to get to komodo Island with the "phantom" public boat that nobody knows about. It does exist and is actually located in a separate Harbour. Here is the GPS location : -8.484518,119.876788 The name is "TPI Kampung Ujung port". There is a smelly fish market to go through, not hard to miss. Price is 100k IDR if captain does not try to charge the tourist fee. You have to ask people around the boat if it is the correct one as there is no ticket to buy in advance nor any special desk. Just hope on the boat once you are sure it is the right one and pay when you arrive. The boat is mid size and around 20-30 people make the trip. It is not a ferry, it is much smaller, around 20 meters long and 4 meters wide and only one deck with shade. Transport takes 4h and is noisy (depends on the boat you have), travelers are komodo residents which are all very kind. Be prepared for basic confort, no seat no bench, just boat wood. No toilet break neither. The boat schedule as Jahiding told us is as such, and you will have to plan your stay based on this. From Labuan to Komodo Monday, Wednesday, Friday. Between 9am and 11am. From Komodo to Labuan Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday between 9am and 10am.

Angel Island Eco Resort offers a great tropical escape on a private Bidadari Island, which is located about a 30-minute boat ride from Labuan Bajo. This is an absolute gem of a place. Tranquil with beautiful surroundings. A nice beach with a house reef with lots of coral and fish. Spacious bungalows and great staff. Would definitely stay again.

Located along Labuan Bajo Beach, The Jayakarta Suites Komodo Flores offers luxurious accommodation surrounded by tropical greenery. It features a dive club offering programs for divers of all levels. Even though it was off-season, the staff were attentive, wonderful and accommodating, the property was amazingly well maintained and super clean. The room attendant paid attention to detail and even laid slippers out for me after a day tour. The room was spacious. They provided a shuttle to my next stay instead of a return to the airport without me requesting it. Convenient and no hassle. Well worth the price to stay. I’ll be honest, don’t expect a beautiful beach to leisure at, but it’s nice for a stroll and pool is fantastic. Pool towels were handed to me with a warm smile. Everyone had a welcoming smile and were ready to meet my requests. It was a great place to relax. I ordered diners from Grab which was so convenient.

In such an isolated island, they are able to provide solar electricity, good food, good drinks, and there're always someone to help you if you need anything. All the boys work hard every from morning to 9 or 10 to provide all services and entertainment at night. I felt like it's such a privilege to be on the island. Read carefully all the reviews to be aware of the inconvenience, but it's nothing compared to what they provided. The beach is heaven, the corals are beautiful with so many colorful fishes. We saw some mini sharks, my boyfriend saw one turtle near the bridge . In the morning, the tide is low and we can see the coral just on the sand. First time in life 🙏

Situated on a private area of Pede Beach, Luwansa Beach Hotel houses an outdoor pool with sun loungers and accommodation with sea views. It also provides a complimentary airport transfer service. The staff were all professional and extremely helpful which was important as I have a child and elderly family member. The main host, Ferdi, was exceptionally supportive as were the rest of the staff.
