We arrived at Sunday morning, Checked in earlier because they had the room ready. The hotel staff are very friendly, helpful and happily helped us when needed. The room is stunning. Modern design, and feels luxurious. Bathroom and toilets were very clean and spacious. We had a king size bed which was super comfortable. In the morning there’s a natural light coming from the window, and the room LED was super cool. Hot water 24/7, had the towels change everyday. As far as the hotel, it has a pretty nice gym, a nice bar and lobby to just chill in the evening. The location is great!! 2 minutes walk from Octagon metro station, everything is 10 minute away. Price was extremely affordable for 4 nights!! Overall, a great experience, I’d love to comeback for a second vacation!!!

Novi Sad (Újvidék) is a nice Monarchy time city on the shores of the Danube river, an excellent side trip from Budapest or Belgrade. Multicultural city until today with booming night life with lot of pubs with live music. Be very careful where you park your car however, because they tow it away right away, if you are on a wrong place and I had to pay around 100 euros to get it back... :-(
Typical Romanian country town with the exception of being located next to the Danube which is magnificent, with Bulgaria on the opposite bank. Time of year meant we didnt see it at its best sadly. Had dinner in the Hestia Hotel and whilst the food was fine, the fact that despite the hotels comments on Booking .com as being non smoking in all public places, clearly the owners, staff and local enforcement officers totally ignore the law as the air was simply blue around us whilst we ate with it seems all the local smokers descending on an establishment where no one gives any regard, and clearly with this attitude the restaurant takes a commercial advantage over other restaurants which is clearly unacceptable.
Amazing city at the edge of Vah and Danube river. Worth visiting and ensure to spend at least a weekend. The fortress in both cities is definitely place to see.
This is my hometown and I'll always have a soft spot for it. There are several landmarks, like the foot of the Roman bridge over the Danube, the ruins of the medieval fortress and the Water Tower built in the beginning of 20th century, to name just a few. Recent archeological digs uncovered the ruins of Roman baths and more features and buildings in the ruins of the medieval fortress. Unfortunately, the poor administration of the cultural heritage and of the touristic potential deters people from visiting and only the most determined tourists get to discover the wonders in and around the town. There are several decent options for lodging and people are usually friendly and helpful. I can't say anything about eating, because my parents still live there and my mother would feel offended if I'd eat out. The town is generally clean and safe. There are many one-way streets and a lot of car traffic, so walking is the best option for exploring. The town is perfect as a base for discovering the area. The Iron Gates and the customs point with Serbia are easily reachable by car, there's an European road following the Danube up north with breathtaking views, there are monasteries worth visiting (Vodiţa and Orșova), there are paths for hiking, God's Bridge (a natural bridge which is open to car traffic) and the valley of the Cerna river can both be visited in one day (by car). There are other things that might be worth doing, and uncovering them is part of the adventure. I'm still exploring, although I've lived there for 19 years.

Good market, there were sand sculptures along the Danube and ice sculptures in the centre. There is good walking along the Danube and a transport museum. Plenty of places to eat. Theatre, cinema, parks etc. I go for CheckUps at the oncology hospital which is very good.
Great city with lots of history. Castle is a must which could be promoted better. Excellent view across the Danube from the tower. Lots of open spaces in the city and a fabulous park. Highly recommended.
This multicultural, colourful city in the very heart of Vojvodina is the real Capitol of the Province but also it is cultural centre of whole Serbia Whether one would like to spend some time near Danube or taste the palatable local cuisine or have a great time in a party, Novi Sad is the right choice
The only thing going for Orsova is that it is near the Danube and the iron gates. (The narrowest part of the Danube) The town itself is very depressed and no pride at all in the city. Rubbish everywhere, including the riverside. they could do much better to display a lovely area. It is the saddest town in Romania that we have stayed at.
Beautiful buildings in the central pedestrianised streets. Close to the Danube river with a nice walkway at the side. Plenty of reasonably priced restaurants and bars. Well worth a visit.
The staff at Vacz Hotel are exceptional & could not have been more helpful to make my stay a great experience. Vac is situated about 50km north of Budapest and is a beautiful old town situated beside the Danube River. Train services operate about every 30 minutes from Budapest Nyugati Station. Journey time is a little under 30 minutes. The hotel is clean & modern with a grocery store & very good Bakery 5 minutes walk away. A quiet peaceful hotel with friendly helpful staff very hard to better!
Haibach ob der Donau
Stunning location on a bend in the Danube river with gorgeous scenery all around. The hotel is basic but comfortable and also offers hostel and camping accommodation. It was just enough for a comfortable stay without frivolous luxuries. Bed was comfy and we had a room with a lovely balcony looking out on the river. Shower was good although the towels seemed old an in need of an upgrade. Hotel restaurant served delicious food and had a very good breakfast buffet the next morning.
Novi Sad
Gorgeous setting right on the Danube, full breakfast with Serbian fry bread, very large rooms, great shower, very hospitable, ground level rooms and free parking. Quiet and peaceful in the morning and evening, beautiful road to get there, not too far from convenience markets and other stores during the daytime. Love the pool and hot tubs and deck, yard, tables looking out on the Danube. Luxury for sure Staff was very helpful and other guests were kind and welcoming.
The apartment met all our expectations - very clean, very spacious, right next to city center and at the same time near the Danube park. Apartment is fully equipped even for living, not only for a few days. Included compliment - coffee and water. Very polite host living at the same location, which was very convenient for checking in. Underground parking is also available at the location, but we easily parked on the street.
Dürnstein
The location is exceptionally picturesque comprising endlessly terraced grape vines with the mighty Danube River in the foreground and deep green pine forested hills behind. The food in the region (Lower Austria) was sensational, the hosts were exceedingly friendly and welcoming, and the accommodation (fully contained apartment) was modern and immaculate. We definitely intend to return in the future.
Sulina
Hosts were friendly, professional, excelent cooked food upon request. Sabina provided transfers to the boat at no charge. Pet friendly. In addition, they have a beautiful cat, the friendliest I had ever seen. Located about 2 km from the beach, and maybe 5 min walk to the Danube and a beautiful Romanian Orthodox cathedral. The hosts were very accurate in describing and suggesting things to do.
During the pandemic, I can understand austerity from a property. I just needed a room, to sleep, clean up. This property did that. They only accepted cash, which was a surprise. No toiletries offered (but I had my own). In Giurgiu, there are few options for hotel stays, apparently all the business is across the Danube in Ruse. For me, Hotel Vlasca gave me what I needed.
Passau
Excellent way to spend a few days in Passau. Ideal location. Apartment is modern, clean and tastefully decorated which makes for a pleasant stay. Staff is wonderful and very responsive. Quiet despite location on main road but you are next the the Danube so view is good. No breakfast but there are plenty of bakeries around the corner. Overall would highly recommend. A+
Location is very nice in a surprisingly pretty corner of Germany, with (as the name suggests) a view om the Danube river, especially from the terrace. Rooms are comfy and on the 1st floor all rooms have some seating outside. Good bathroom, beds are good. Enough space. Generally friendly staff. Breakfast is not buffet style but served (which has its charm).
Friendly stuff, enough parking places outside, to park before check-in, as well as secured parking space at the territory. Beautiful and impressingly convenient room, wonderful bathroom. Sound protection is outstanding. Very nice breakfast. Hotel is located nearly in the city centre, with Danube promenade and shops. Definitely worth to be visited again!
Smederevo
Apartment is very nice, cozy, clean and charming. It’s located on the second floor of the private house with a separate entrance and provides a breathtaking view from the terrace over Danube. It’s very well equipped, all furnishings are new, hosts are very welcoming and friendly. We had a perfect weekend there. I would definitely recommend the place.

It was our first time in Weissenkirchen for a night during a bicycle trip along the Danube and probably not the last. Great place to stay, with fantastic heurigers. Walk though the village in the evening - magic! Hotel itself has a great restaurant, nice room for bicycles and exceptional staff. Just perfect :)
Hotel Anna Palace has a very good location - it is practically in the heart of the city, near the Danube river. The location is attractive and within walking distance of many local attractions. The staff were extremely kind and responsive and the food very good. I will be happy to visit again.
It’s a lovely hotel tucked away in a peaceful residential location near the Danube and the old town. Our triple room was spacious with two large, very comfortable beds. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Hotel has its own garage. All staff were kind and helpful. We will certainly visit again 😊
I loved my stay at the Hotel Peklo. Did not know what to expect from an establishment with a picture of Gerard Depardieu on the website and a name that translates to hell. Clean facilities. Unbelievably friendly staff. Excellent food. Loved running on the Danube each morning.
Das Reinisch Hotel has a great location to the airport and a beautiful park near the Danube River. The staff was very helpful and attentive. Much thanks to Lea at the Hotel desk for her hospitality and assistance! Great place to rest before a long flight home.
Melk is a splendid small town on a Danube, with impressive Melk Abbey on a hill right above old town of Melk. Abby is worth visiting, it is amazing. Apartment is in central part of an old town, newly decorated, spotlessly clean. Self check in works excellent.
Buffet provided for both breakfast and dinner - varied dishes each day which were all excellent. Hotel is located close to the ferry and as we had taken the train from Budapest and then the ferry across the Danube, it was very convenient and also quiet.
