The staff the hotel and the setting are all absolutely amazing. We were taken great care of and the food was to die for. Lovely, friendly hosts, cozy resident lounge with log fire, stunning views, lovely character room with ensuite, great recommendation for dinner (Travellers Rest Inn, an easy, pretty flat walk apart from short incline at the end), fabulous breakfast.....and stayed in Alfred Wainwright's room apparently!

Exceptional cosy B&B in a beautiful, quiet area of Patterdale. Lots of great walks nearby and the barn itself is on a beautiful piece of land with its own Wool shop, and sheep in the land. Thoroughly enjoyed the tasty breakfast, with such a great choice of fruits, yoghurts, full English, cereals etc. The beds are very comfortable, had the best nights sleep and the rooms are great size and done to a high quality standard. The owners are great, so friendly & welcoming & really go out of their way with small extra touches, like freshly baked cake on arrivals. Would 100% recommend buying their deli grazing boards, very delicious and great value for money!
