Set within 7 km of Morwellham Quay and 22 km of Lydford Castle in Gunnislake, Riverside Stay offers accommodation with seating area. Anything under a 10 would be short selling this place. Our hosts Richard & Denise were amazing. Breakfast was organic and wonderful. We probably ate too much breakfast each day as there was such a variety. Any tastes were catered for. At last we found a bathroom in the UK that was both practical and comfortable. Big shower (that didn't leak) lots of room for toiletries, plenty of room for two people at the same time, warm and very clean and modern. The bedroom was large and comfortable and we even had a snug for TV and snacks and tee and coffee supplied at any time. WiFi was very fast and reliable. Plenty of room to do any work on a laptop. lots of power points for phones and computers. We also did a short wall along the Tamar River which you can see from the room. We even had our own balcony. The house is very quiet. We would be happy to move here permanently.

Quiet place to relax, amazing host who always asked how we slept and how our day was and what we had planned, lovely breakfast in the morning too. Very accommodating, especially as we needed to book short notice.

Situated in Calstock, The Waterbaby features accommodation with private pool, free WiFi and free private parking for guests who drive. This location was perfect for our needs. We loved the riverside location and the viaduct views and the outdoor deck was a perfect place to watch the ducks and the boats with a coffee in the morning and a glass of wine at night. The decor is lovely, lots of lovely thoughtful design details that made us feel very comfortable and at home. The location is great with a short walk to local cafes and two nice friendly pubs and we appreciated being able to park directly outside the property. Jack is a great host with wonderful and timely communication. We really enjoyed our stay.

Featuring mountain views, The Cabin in the Tamar Valley. Offers accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 4.3 km from Cotehele House. The location, which is very difficult to find at night (use this in Google maps 50.518228,-4.225086), is spectacular, well situated with easy access to the main roads to go further into Cornwall or Devon. Great views from the windows. Cabin is located in the grounds of a private house, which, when you get there at night, makes you wonder if you're in the right location, as there is no real signage making you think you are. However, quick call and the owner comes out swiftly. Owner, Johnathan, is very pleasant and will show you all of the benefits of the cabin, as well as controls etc. Place looks exactly like the pictures. Very comfortable, great little log burner, nicely decorated, well equipped kitchen, great shower with good water pressure and good internet/TV streaming. For a business traveller looking to cook for themselves, or a couple, this is a great place.
