Overlooking picturesque Lake Derwentwater, the four-star Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa is set in forty acres of tranquil land with a waterfall and a lakeshore. We loved the rustic romantic room, with large balcony and fireplace. The view of the lake was amazing, the sounds of the stream and the majestic gardens was something out of a movie The spa was so fun, and the soak in the heated pool at sunset was perfectly romantic. Top tip set your alarm an hour before sunrise, get your self up and be in wonder of the perfect night sky. You might just be lucky enough to see a shooting star or 10! 5mims walk to the right and you can start one of the most idelic walks ever.

The hotel and grounds were far more picturesque than we anticipated and it is perfectly situated in Keswick with an easy walk into town and to the start of most walks and Derwentwater. Our room was lovely and although not modern and up to date perfectly reflected the building and its surroundings and everything worked and was clean. The restaurant for breakfast was great and there was more than enough options with a lovely view across the lawn.

Cottage is in a perfect position for short walk to Keswick enjoying r a longer walk round the lake where you get to Keswick to.The catbells are within easy walking. Lovely farmers arms pub in the village for a meal also Derwentwater Hotel we didn't eat here but had a wee drink.Chalet cafe in village for lunch or meals until 5pm lovely scones .while on the walk round the lake you come to Mary mount Hotel had lovely lunch in there.
The hotel is in a great location, with amazing views looking over Derwentwater and the surrounding mountains.The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was really nice and clean. The breakfasts were very good and the choice was great. The hotel is also dog friendly as are most of the places we visited in Keswick We would definitely recommend this hotel and we would come back again.
The Derwentwater hotel was in easy walking distance of Keswick Town centre via a public footpath . Breakfast was very nice with everything you could possibly want. The bar offers a wide selection of beers wines and the all important gin. Food was tasty cooked from fresh . The Derwentwater Hotel is use to serving large groups, our numbers were 20 which didn’t pose any problems.
The staff were friendly and welcoming on arrival, and the hotel itself was beautifully looked after. I was kindly given an upgrade to a bigger room (East Turret) which was really warm and comfortable with stunning views of both the mountains and Derwentwater. Breakfast was included in the room price and was delicious, set me up very well for a full day of hiking!

Room was clean and equipped with a kettle. The bed was comfortable and the room was very warm. It was a nice quiet room. The Hotel location was excellent for visiting the Theatre, the shops or a walk round Derwentwater. The breakfast was freshly prepared and good.
Very comfortable hotel. Nice and clean with lots of places to sit and relax. Food very well presented and tasty. Staff very friendly. We had our dog with us who was made very welcome! Great location for the Derwentwater walks.
