Highfield features great lake and mountain views and its own private car park. The beautiful rooms have en suite bathrooms and tea/coffee making facilities. Loooovely breakfast, you choose from a menu and they make it fresh for you. On top of that you can eat cereal, yogurt and fresh fruit salad, but you better be hungry after the first part. And the view from the brekafast room is a nice bonus! The house is decorated very nicely and the rooms are nice.

Set in 2 acres of tranquil wooded gardens. The charming rooms have TVs and tea and coffee facilities, and many have breathtaking views of the valley and fells. It was an amazing setting. Exceeded our expectations in every way.

Situated on the beautiful lower slopes of Skiddaw, Lyzzick Hall Hotel offers impressive mountain views and an on-site restaurant with extensive wine cellar. Great hotel, exceptionally clean and tidy. Staff were all very friendly and very attentive. Excellent food and service.

The double and the single beds were comfortable with a clean toilete. The hotel has a big parking area but if you cant find any you can still park on the street for free. There is a path 10 minutes from the hotel into the mountain. The full english breakfast was delicious definitely worth it. I can highly recommend the hotel if you would like to spend a few days in the lakes.

Set in 5 acres of woodland gardens, The Mary Mount Hotel is set on the shores of Derwentwater. With countryside views, rooms are en suite. There is also a restaurant and free WiFi throughout. Beautiful setting! The property was lovely and the staff very friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious. Plenty to do with terrific walking/hiking trails. We all wish we could have stayed longer.

The 18th-century Royal Oak at Keswick is located in the market town of Keswick, just 2 miles from Derwentwater. Everything was perfect except charged and extra 48.00 sterling for 1 x child for 2 x breakfasts. This was not identified on the Booking.com booking that stated breakfasts were included.
