The host, Claire, was wonderful - great communication and she went out of her way to help me out during my stay (providing advice on local activities, storing bags, drying some wet clothes). Breakfast was excellent.

The breakfast was excellent with plenty of options ;) the staff was kind and helpful with everything. Dinner was amazing, we all loved our entrees and drinks. overall the experience was excellent and we would return as well as recommend to others.

I spent four nights in a well appointed, quiet and large room with an excellent shower. Mark and Karen were congenial hosts who were extremely attentive to my needs. Karen prepared a wonderful breakfast of my choice from her menu. The location is a great choice for exploring the interior of South Wales.

We paid extra for the SUPERIOR room, you get an extra sofa bed if needed. The room was of a good size, bathroom as expected, with a shower over the bath. The room was quiet and warm The TV & WiFi were great. The breakfast was EXCELLENT, English & Welsh Breakfast options. The evening restaurant was very enjoyable, but lacking in atmosphere due to its size. The breakfast room had great views across open countryside. This is a very nice hotel, and YES we would rebook as it's so good, an amazing find in such a beautiful location, easy for the ferry ports, shopping and access to the midlands etc.

We enjoyed our one night stay with Howfield Hotel. The directions to access property was clear. The location was perfect. The room itself was very clean. I slept comfortably and there was no noise. The car park is only a few minutes from the hotel and all day fee was £3.50.

From the moment we arrived we were looked after so well by all the fabulous staff at all times of day and night. I can’t thank the kind man who helped us out in the courtyard at three o’clock in the morning and brought delicious tea and a cappuccino covered in salted caramel chocolate! Every part of the hotel is a magical blend of glorious architecture that has been there for hundreds of years and modern luxury. My room was the best! I wish I could have brought it home. With the exceptional en-suite. My bed was so comfortable and the bed linen was perfect! Every need was catered for to ensure the most delightful stay. The Angel Hotel is in the heart of Abergavenny, allowing such easy access to anywhere in the town. It was the best holiday in a place that I love. Staying in the Hotel made absolutely perfect.

So comfortable and friendly. Every thing was nice, rooms, breakfast, location, and their fish and chip shop was the best.

In Hay-on-Wye, The Swan at Hay is positioned between the Brecon Beacons and The Black Mountains. beautiful Hotel with original pieces of furniture and so nice amenities. cute little room with a comfortable bed. Everything we had hoped for. Breakfast was incredible with a large amount of options. Couldn’t recommend this place enough.
