This gorgeous farmhouse was the perfect home base for our family visit to the lake district. You could spend your entire trip just enjoying the immediate surroundings. Accommodation was excellent, everything you needed under one small roof!! The location was superb with lovely surrounding views, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it.

Apple Tree Cottage, a property with a garden, is located in Bassenthwaite, 42 km from Askham Hall, 47 km from World of Beatrix Potter, as well as 18 km from Whinlatter Forest Park. Our stay at Apple Tree Cottage was thoroughly enjoyable. The property was very well looked after and immaculately clean. The owner who greeted us was friendly and pleasant and supplied us with a lovely welcome hamper. We loved the finishing touches such as a welcome note with our names written on the front door porch blackboard. It was a nice thought and made us feel special. Thank you. 😊👌
