Nicely designed wooden chalet style complex ~ very stylish and cool vibe atmosphere ~great breakfast~charming hosts~lovely pool~great attention to detail comfortable beds~ very good wifi ~we had the 1 small room which had tiny shower toilet area which wasn't ideal~the hosts very kindly opened up the next door lounge area to give us a bit more feeling of space which was very kind of them~all the other rooms are larger but we booked pretty much last minute~this is a quality above what's generally available in the area

The hosts have created a piece of paradise, only 45 mins drive from Bordeaux and a short drive from gorgeous Lacanau Lake and the ocean. As soon as you step into La Varangue, you feel the serenity of the place thanks to the water features (pool, fish ponds, jacuzzi) combined with the beautiful vegetation, sounds of nature, and the south-east asian influence. Christine and Bernard make you feel at home right away and their love for this place is contagious. We were there to celebrate my sister's birthday and Christine helped us make it a surprise and we spent a lovely evening under the pool cabana munching on delicious planchas with basque food. We could have easily spent the whole time lounging around the pool because once you're there you don't really want to leave, but we decided to make the most of what the regions has to offer with the lake and ocean nearby and the medoc vineyards. This is set to become my go-to bubble of peace whenever I'm in the Bordeaux region.

OCEAN VIEW is a beachfront property set in Lacanau, 80 metres from Plage Centrale and 400 metres from Plage Sud. The location was superb. Interaction with the letting agent was also great. The view from the balcony was fantastic

It's the first time ever that I rent a property, and I don't need to do a bit of cleaning or washing the kitchenware to settle in; Quiet and pleasant neighboorhood, this property is located at the end of a dead-end unpaved alley, this means there is no traffic; Central location, close to shops and cycling pathways; Bright and spacious flat built with quality materials, the small terrace is fenced which ensures total privacy; Well-equipped kitchen that allows for real cooking; Large bathroom; Roomy and cozy bedroom with a king-size bed; Individual switches that control the opening and closing of the high-ceiling windows, which close automatically when the first drops of rain start to fall.
