When we drove up the forested mountain in our car, we did not expect that after a few winding kilometres, we would reach a paradise. Of course, we immediately noticed the beautiful mountain panorama, which looked even nicer in the rays of the setting sun. The greatest thing, however, is the accommodation itself: a historic, renovated building in which every element has been refined to the last detail with a unique sense of aesthetics. A beautiful living room with sofas and a bar, well-preserved rafters, an antique piano, lots of rustic decorations, and matching materials and colours. It felt like another world there. Let's add a very nice receptionist, delicious food in the hotel restaurant, very friendly cats and five cheerful Saint Bernard dogs - and we have a recipe for success. We will be happy to return there.

Geschmackvoll eingerichtetes kleines Haus mit Raumaufteilung über zwei Etagen, angenehm ruhig im Grünen gelegen. Alles sauber und alles Notwendige in Küche und Bad war vorhanden. Gastgeberin Eli ist herzlich, hilfsbereit und gab uns gute Tipps. El Niu ist eine ideale Unterkunft für Wanderungen und Ausflüge in die Vulkanregion Garrotxa. Für Wanderungen nach Castelfollit, auf den Mont Ros mit der Kapelle Mare de Deu oder den Höhlen kann das Auto sogar in der Garage bleiben.

Maite was great! She made our stay exceptional- helped with recommendations and check on us often! The hotel is lovely and a nice change of pace from others with the open grounds and pool. Olot is the nearest town and is a gem. We stayed 2 nights but could have stayed a few days more to explore the area! We will return!!!

It was in the beautiful town of Santa Pau and was so full of charm and old world character. I we also loved the salt water pool. The owners were awesome- so nice and friendly and quick to respond.
Der Standort (einzeln stehend auf dem Berg) ist eine Augenweite. Eine alte Kirche mit einem integrierten Restaurant- u. Hotelbereich. Grandioser Blick von der Terrasse mit tollen Sonnen Auf- u. Untergang. Hotelmanagement ist sehr gut strukturiert und hilfsbereit. Küchenpersonal und Service großartig - sie lieben ihren Job, was der Gast spürt! Das Abendmenü bei Halbpension (empfehlenswert) hat mindestens 5 Vor- u. Hauptspeisen sowie 5 Dessert zur Auswahl. Ab 2. Tag Aufenthalt sogar 10 Vor- u. Hauptspeisen und sind sehr lecker!! Wir hatten mit mitgeführten Motorrad eine Panne, wo Servicemitarbeiter an ihrem freien Tag uns zur Werkstatt begleitet haben - mehr geht nicht...

The welcome was very friendly, bed was comfortable and there was a small bath with plenty of hot water, which was great after my walk.
gemma is a wonderful host, local and authentic. We were given a perfect room for our family, one tween and two singles. Hot water all the way and very comfortable settings. Maybe next time I will contact Gemma in advance so be can do a Sunday barbecue with her familiy!
This is amazing place to relax. For me it was important to have a comfortable place outside with good view to spend time reading. And I found plenty of that in mas Pineda. There are only few rooms, so place is quite with just a few people.
The cabin was amazing! Super clean, quiet, new, with AC. Great with children. The camping has a river crossing and has fun surroundings.
