The location is on a quiet side street and the apartment is super functional. The mini bar, snack tray, food shelf was all exceptionally well stocked and reasonably priced. The breakfast was made to order and delicious! The best part was Andrea, the hostess/owner. She was so friendly!

Pfefferhöhe Hotel & Restaurant has a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Alsfeld. Featuring a bar, the property is located within 48 km of Gießen Congress Centre. I was travelling by car and was late for the check-in, but when I contacted hotel through booking, they kindly told me that they’ll wait for me, which was pleasant. Room was clean, tidy though small. But I only needed a place to relax and the next day to continue my travelling. I also enjoyed the breakfast, it was various, light and on time.

Very nice Gasthaus situated in a rural village. Rooms were spotlessly clean. Very quiet place, we could not hear a sound from outside. Friendly staff, had a good schnitzel at the restaurant.

The restaurant is excellent and the waiters we had were extremely friendly. The hotel looks out onto a lake which is a popular spot but quiet in the mornings and evenings. A great place for a jog. We were passing through on our bikes and the hotel provides a secure shed for storing them overnight. The rooms are clean and recently renovated. Excellent spot for celebrating e.g. for a wedding reception.
