Quiet, safe, and beautiful location, lovely building, beautifully decorated. This hotel was designed to emulate a cozy home, and you definitely feel at home when you stay there. Adorable cats and a dog create a warm home-like atmosphere. A pool with a wonderful view of the city and sunset. Delicious breakfasts. All of the staff were so so lovely and helpful, nothing was a bother to them. We've decided to stay in this hotel every time we come to San Jose. Thank you so much for welcoming us!

Apartotel La Sabana is located 1.5 km from central San José and offers self-catering accommodation with free WiFi access, breakfast included with the rate and an outdoor pool. We loved everything. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Hotel is fantastic. Our room was great, a/c essential in the heat, amenities excellent, etc. The included breakfast was OUTSTANDING. Wow. Made to order from the menu. Wow again.

Located in Piedades, 42 km from Poas National Park, Canal Grande Lodge provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. Canl Grande Lodge is a very cozy hotel not far from San Josè International Airport, immersed in nature. The staff was utmost kind and helpful in assisting me since my luggages weren't loaded on the flight and I didn't have anything with me, apart from a little bag. The hotel provided me with basic stuffs in a stressful moment for me. Breakfast was very good, definitely to come and stay more nights in this hotel. The cleanliness of the room and the transfer service from the airport arranged by the hotel were very appreciated.

Located in San Gerardo de Dota, 19 km from Cerro de la Muerte, Lauraceas Lodge provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. Spacious cabin with beautiful view out on to the trees, stream and hills. We didn't go anywhere else to eat in the 4 days and enjoyed every meal. The family who run the place and all of the other staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The Lauraceas Garden, about 100m down the road, is very special and was created with care and love. We've never seen SO many beautiful birds, especially the humming birds -- they were just non-stop. Bring warm clothes: in the evening and first thing in the morning it can be very chilly up there in the mountains but during the day, once the sun had come up over the hills, we had glorious weather.

Situated in San Gerardo de Dota, 13 km from Cerro de la Muerte, Las Cataratas Lodge features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. I have been traveling Costa Rica for nearly two weeks now, staying at Bed and Breakfasts and cabins across the country. This location has been my absolute favorite, by far. The cabins are basic, but they bring a close comfort to you. I felt incredibly relaxed and was fully able to enjoy their quiet. Surrounding the cabin are a couple of hiking trails and a few small gazebos. You could hike to a couple of waterfalls or settle into and watch the constant comings-and-goings of the hummingbirds. The breakfasts were the best I've had in my travels so far. The dinner was also delicious. I found this spot a wonderful quiet oasis to connect with the wonderful flora and fauna surrounding me. I can't recommend it enough.

Nasa San Isidro ang La Princesa Hotel na nagtatampok ng restaurant, hardin, terrace, at libreng WiFi sa buong accommodation. This Hotel and its location is beyond beautiful and exceeded our expectations by far. The view is stunning as well as the gardens surrounding the house. There are so many beautiful flowers and birds to see. Waking up to this view was a highlight. Got served delicious breakfast with fresh fruits and eggs and coffee on the hosts terrace. The hosts were lovely, telling us about the area and made us feel very welcome. Also very convenient location if you travel between San Jose and the coast.

Located in San Jose, Alameda Cariari features an outdoor swimming pool, free WiFi access and a tour desk. We booked Alameda for 1 night before our departure flight. It was a very pleasurable stay. Nice big room. Nice clean swimming pool. Nice quiet location, cosy atmosphere. Good breakfast and friendly staff. In the morning we were surprised about people talking almost in front of our room window. After we found out that these were excited golfers as there is a hole directly at the Alameda property fence.

Situated on the edge of Los Quetzatles National Park, Sueños del Bosque offers rustic bungalows with a free daily breakfast, free WiFi and views of the tropical cloud forest. We loved it!!! Starting from the best staff we have met in CR, then the beautiful and specious cabañas with anything you may need, to the trails and other activities like horse riding, etc. All was perfect. We even saw quetzals each day. Thank you very much :)
