This family-owned hotel is quietly located in Interlaken, 656 feet from the Interlaken West Station. Free Wi-Fi access and free parking are offered. The hotel owner was the highlight of my stay here, as she was able to be very helpful. She also was very interesting to talk to about her life as well as very personable. Also was very impressed that she loved my Trinidadian accent (which there isn't too much of in my opinion) The room was very well appointed, no issues there. Breakfast was really lovely, as she made exactly the pot of tea that you wanted and gave me recommendations of what I should have. She even did my laundry twice (which I appreciated sooo much), as I was worried about exactly where I would've been able to do it during my trip. She also gave me recommendations of a map of Interlaken of what to see and do which I also appreciated. Totally loved the chocolate she gave me at the end of my stay. Will definitely be back whenever I come back to Switzerland!

Location is very easily accessible from interlaken ost via bus 102 - direct stop at ringgenberg post, 2 mins walk from hotel Comfort - excellently designed rooms with balcony which have a stunning lake views, i think one of the best views of the lake... Staff - very welcoming and accomodative... Breakfast was excellent with lot of variety... In all a very very good place to stay...definitely recommendable...

We arrived late in the evening and it was cloudy rainy day. We needed to wait a bit at the restaurant downstairs to check-in but when we finally could enter our room, we were amazed about how organized the room was. The bathroom and furniture were high quality and modern. The queen size bed and pillows were really comfortable and really clean. Also the balcony was really huge. But the most amazing moment was when we woke up in the next morning on a sunny day, we saw the mountains when we went to the balcony. Amazing view! The hostess was really kind. She gave information about the places we could visit based on our preferences, and helped us with all our questions. The breakfast was also great with enough choices.

Great base to explore the Bernese Oberland. Very convenient to access Wengen, Murren, Lauterbrennan via train yet big enough town that it had a supermarket, plenty of restaurants and hotels. Still it remains quaint and lovely.
I had not been to Wegen in 45 yeas and of course it had changed. I was there in off season but it seems to have evolved intio a high end ski town. No more small dairy farmers on their steep hillside plots. Still, it was a great place to visit when doing the Bernese Oberland.
Great location for the Bernese Oberland. I only hope that I am fortunate enough to return to this beautiful region. Lauterbrunnen has a casual small village feel, while having enough restaurants and transportation options available to make an ideal base for touring the region. In two and a half days, we were able to see Trummelbach Falls, the top of the Schilthorn, hike between Murren and Gimmelwald, took the train to Kline Schiedegg, and continued by train to Grindelwald. We avoided the crowds going to Jungfrau as we already had a perfect day at Schilthorn. The views of the Lauterbrunnen valley are truly spectacular.

Interlaken is a great place for exploring the bernese Oberland. However, mass tourism has transformed the town and made it quite annoying.
Spectacular Views Great restaurants Very easy to use transportation to get to other places in the Bernese Oberland Activities Galore in the Bernese Oberland Murren is an excellent place to get away from it all.
Wengen is an excellent choice as home base to explore the Bernese Oberland. Trains up the mountains to Kleine Scheidegg and Jungfraujoch or down the mountains to Lauterbrunnen for connections to Grutschalp and Shilthorn, or Grindelwald in the neighboring valleyare frequent and convenient. Many different and little restaurants, but some are pricey. The trail down from Kleine Scheidegg offers wonderful views of the Eiger, Monch, and Jungfrau above as well as Wengen below, but it is steep and consistently downhill and takes it's toll on the ankles and knees! 4 days turned out to be perfect to provide us with at least 2 good days of weather for trips to the Jungfraujoch and the Shilthorn, however it might not work that well for everybody!
I stayed here last year and visited this year. this town is centrally located to the Bernese Oberland mountains. Easy access to mountains and Lauterbrunnen Valley. Lots of hotel options, along with restaurants, shops etc. Very convenient train options both Interlaken OST & Interlaken West. Pretty town, but very touristy. stay here for convenience.
There isn't a lot to do in Interlaken itself, however, it's a great place to use as a base for day trips in the Bernese Oberland and even to Zermatt.
Mürren
The owner, Janet, was willing to do whatever she could to make your stay with her amazing! The location is excellent, a very short walk from the train station. A great location to walk around Murren or travel to other parts of the Bernese Oberland. Also we ate at the hotel restaurant two nights while there, and the food is just delicious! We were disappointed that the restaurant was closed on our last night.
A comfortable hotel, ideal for visiting that part of the Bernese Oberland, with a good car park. Only a five minute walk to the railway station and bus stop and, with the free local transport ticket provided (also giving discounts at some local attractions), there was no need to use the car locally. Excellent restaurant in the hotel for dinner, and a good quality breakfast.
The spa facilities were amazing, it was super dog friendly. Perfect locations for walking and relaxing. Beautiful little town to explore, and close to all the amazing sites in Bernese oberland for a day trip. The food at the hotel was really delicious, and the staff was super helpful!!
EVERYTHING IS PERFECT - the staff, the room, the service, the location, the view, and one of the best restaurants in Bernese Oberland. I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough. Been here before and will always come back if I stay in Kandersteg.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is ideally located for exploring the Bernese Oberland region. Dinner was very reasonably priced for 4 courses and there was a lovely atmosphere in the restaurant.

This Chalet-hotel is really on a high level. located literally in the middle of Kandersteg main road. in-front of a supermarket & 10mins walk to Oeschinensee gondola. Very nice & clean facilities. A very friendly & helpful guy in the reception, who gave me a discount voucher for the gandola, free bus ride & discount to Blausee. bottom line - AMAZING STAY. will come back.

The small details make it even more special.. beautiful fresh flower vases, the shampoo n conditioner in the shower very good quality u don’t usually find in 5 star hotels, super comfortable bed mattress, shuttle driver to the ski station very friendly, nice books all around the lobby area, DJ on Saturday afternoon, billiard room.. We loved it overall & totally recommend it!! will surely be back thankyou ❤️
