The location - about 25 km from Montreux or Évian - is fabulous. Views of Lake Geneva and the mountains are amazing. Hotel is 25 metres from the cascading stream (la Morge) that forms the border with France, to sing you to sleep. Quiet town that straddles the border with many restaurants, nature watching, cities nearby. Affordable by Swiss standards. Had breakfast at restaurant which was very good and the staff friendly. Even if you are literally a stone's throw from France, you do need a Swiss power adapter (narrower prongs than Europe).

Functional and Modern Apartment away a short distance from the city. - the apartment is very compact, so be prepared to spend time in your room, as it’s got all you need. - the kitchen is functional, and can support basic meals - the laundry room is easily accessible - easy access from car parking lot into lobby, no stairs - balcony is lovely to watch the sunrise over Lake Geneva - good spots for running around the lake or over the the University sports grounds

The hotel is clean. I like that it is walking distance, about an 8 minute walk, from the Cornavin Train Station. It is also walking distance to a few places I wanted to see such as Lake Geneva and St Pierre Cathedral (approx 1 mile walk one way). There are also numerous restaurants within walking distance. And it also has sufficient cabinet space. For my purposes, I rented it for 3 people so I used the sofa bed. I think that the beds are comfortable.

Hotel La Barcarolle was by far my favorite hotel ever. The property, people, service, food, and views were stunning. I lost count of how helpful the staff was to our group of five. Our children delighted playing in the large grass field overlooking Lake Geneva. The pool was lovely and property well cared for. Special note -I have food sensitivities that were handled perfectly at the restaurant! I would absolutely recommend this hotel and stay again.

Wow! This hotel is the most eclectic place I’ve ever stayed. Great breakfast and terrace open 24 hours. Extremely clean and each floor has a sort of living room area where you can find coffee/tea , ironing board ect. Staff was very helpful. Location is outstanding within a couple minutes walk of Lake Geneva and in the center of upscale shopping area. Surrounded by Tons of restaurants and shops - I great place to explore from.

Lovely hotel looking out on Lake Geneva. Free tea & coffee in reception. Lovely room looking out on the lake. Very spacious for 3 people. Breakfast had continental & English. Staff lovely and very cheerful. Had been just taken over by a new chain only a small disruption as they did some work but didn't effect us. Lovely balcony to enjoy the sunshine while having a drink. Less then 10 mins from the station.

Starling Hotel was a wonderful experience and I will certainly come back when in Lausanne. The staff was amazing and friendly. I really loved my room and I can say it’s a super comfortable and well appointed hotel, which even gives you choices for the kind of pillow you want! Overall, if you are headed to EPFL Science Park, Starling Hotel is your only and best choice! On a sunny day, the view of Lake Geneva is simply amazing.

Solo traveller, this was my first stop in Switzerland. Took about 30 minutes on train from Geneva Airport and a 15 minute walk (though you can get the 804 bus). Really beautiful nice small town that over looks Lake Geneva. Very clean, first stay in a hostel; I was very surprised by how nice this hostel is. Large lockers available In rooms and plenty of room and privacy in showers. The showers have all built hair dryers.

The location of the property on lake Geneva was outstanding , you would walk onto the balcony and have a amazing view of the lake and sunset at night. Property was clean and tidy and the beds very comfy. A 2 min walk from the train station , bars and Restaurants. The host was very helpful and helped us with anything we needed , would highly recommend and stay again when in Switzerland.

Quite high end with all the amenities. the family room was spacious with 2 adjoining rooms and 2 bath rooms. First time in Switzerland, the air conditioning was working well. we paid the same or higher price at other hotels in Switzerland which were miles below in standard than this. In terms of location, it depends on the itinerary, but it’s perfect for exploring Lake Geneva region.

As we traveled from Dublin Ireland in our electric car, I was very pleased with the electric vehicle charging facility at this property. The Hotel property is set in a beautiful location that has stunning views of Lake Geneva. When we were checking in at this property, we were greeted by a mature man who was extremely informative, very friendly, polite, and very welcoming.

The „Lake Geneva Hotel“ is located some 20min by Tram away from downtown Geneva. That feels just around the corner. Moreover it is close to the lake, but not as close as one would assume from the pictures, as there is the Versoix main street in between. The hotel is close to a supermarket, that we used frequently and found very comfortable that it is there.

Lovely hotel and convenient for the station. Only a 10 min walk to Lake Geneva. Rome was spacious. Shower in the bathroom wasn’t great due to it being low down so you had to lift it off to shower and then the bathroom flooded. There was renovations going on outside our room which started at 7.30 am. It didn’t spoil our stay and would recommend .

The location of the hotel could not be better, right at the foot of Montreux train station. Also, walking distance to the Lake Geneva and Christmas Market. Hotel is a grand old hotel kept in great condition. Spacious room and balcony with fantastic view of the lake and mountain. Had a bathtub. Will definitely book again if visiting.

This is probably the 5th or 6th time we have been to Hotel Victoria. It is a classic older hotel impeccably maintained. The views to Lake Geneva are amazing. Fabulous restaurant. Superior service from all staff. The owner greets you and sends you off with a box of chocolate when you leave. This is our absolute favorite hotel.

The location was very convenient, close to the centre of the city and easily accessible. Parking was readily available nearby. Keys were easy to collect and get into the apartment. The apartment was very clean and sufficient towels provided. Good view of the roof tops and the top of the jet in Lake Geneva.

Definitely worth staying there just for the room view! Overall, well equipped (even though relatively small), very nice and helpful staff, good cleanliness level and breathtaking view from the restaurant area. Great Value-for-Money, considering it is in Switzerland and by lake Geneva.

We had a fantastic view of Lake Geneva. The balcony was lovely to sit out on and watch people go by. Lovely quaint hotel, with very friendly staff. David at the reception is warm and friendly and truly loves his country of Switzerland. Can you blame him - you'll love it, too.

Lovely old buildings overlooking the Casino & Lake Geneva. Needs some improvements, but it has atmosphere! 204 bus next to Hotel, easy walking access to waters edge, restaurants & shops. Huge room with big bed and balcony. I'd stay again, great value for money.

The hotel was clean and modern and looked new. The staff was attentive and helpful. The location was great, very close to the train station and Lake Geneva. Plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. The rooms were pretty standard, but spacious enough and comfortable.
