We chose the property purely based on its location between Saquenay and Quebec and time of day we needed to leave the former and arrive at the latter. We arrived tired and hungry at 7pm after a long day of kayaking in Saguenay and the proprietor's answer to our request for dinner suggestions (go to the grocery store for a baguette, some paté, and a bottle of wine and eat it on the balcony) was perfect. We enjoyed the proprietor's sense of humor and chit-chat over breakfast in the morning. He kindly also let us spread out our wet camping gear on the fence and lawn to drive so that we could properly repack it before continuing our journey into Quebec where wouldn't need it for several days.

The room was spacious, quiet (for the most part - occasionally one could hear other guests) and clean. The breakfast did not have a really huge choice, but it made them up quite well with their onsite chefs who made excellent omelets. They had an excellently equipped gym, which I made use of occasionally. It was great that it was open at all hours.

Quebec je úžasne krásne miesto. Skoro všetky dôležité pamiatky su v historickom centre hore na kopci. Dá sa to krásne prejsť za jeden deň. Odporúčam ísť miestnym autobusom pozriet Montmorency falls - pekný výlet na take 2-3 hodinky. Odporúčam sa vydať k Anne de Beaupre - krásna katedrála - pútnické miesto v Kanade - stojí zato tam ísť. Bohužiaľ len autom alebo pre zdatnejších cyklistov cca 35 km tam z dowtonu. Inak cela táto oblasť je krásna krajina na cyklistiku. V priebehu leta v Quebecu je letný hudobný festival pre všetkých - milé spestrenie programu - vystupujú aj známe hudobne kapely. Čo sa týka jedla vyber je tu obrovský - multikulturálny.
