Hostellerie du Suroît is located in a heritage building from the 1840s, with views of St-Louis Lake. It offers a seasonal outdoor pool and terrace, as well as free WiFi and private parking. I gave this exceptional rating because I was given room Nr. 23, which is the only room with balcony, situated towards the garden and lake, very quiet, with good possibilities for fresh air through the balcony door, everything was perfect. Breakfast is simple (continental) downstairs and consists of cereals, toast bread, butter, marmelade, cocoa cream, tea, coffee, juice etc. and can be self-made anytime, even at 4am. Good parking right in front and free of charge. I liked the village atmosphere and calmness (but may be too far from Montreal, but for my purpose it was OK).

Lots if bike lanes. King Room had a great view. Sweet little bathroom with nice toiletries. Wonderful restaurant Meraki inside.

We were late check in and they made sure we have everything ready for our arrival. If you want calm gateway, this is it perfect place for it.

The view from the back portion (our room) was across a beautiful snowy field. The front view is of the Saint Lawrence river. Staff members were simply excellent.
