Albion Hotel, a family-run hotel in the centre of Ieper, is 350 metres from the Menin Gate. It features free high-speed WiFi, an intimate bar and packed lunch services. The bed was incredibly comfortable, I slept like a baby. Even though the room overlooked the road in front of the hotel, it was quiet. The shower was plenty hot. The ability to park my motorcycle inside a secure building was a great added benefit. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Emily.

The hotel was beautiful! I really loved every detail: from the vintage room keys, the welcoming letter with Belgian chocolates, the decoration, the location right next to the canal, everything. I will definitely be coming back. The staff also was amazing. I arrived earlier than check in, but they saved all my luggage and then took it to my room. They gave me recommendations on what to do and where to eat. And when I left, they helped book a taxi and made sure everything went smoothly (and gave me some more chocolate for the ride).
