Boasting a roof-top bar, a lounge bar on the top floor and views of the Ötscher and the Alpine foothills, Das Alfred offers accommodation in Sankt Pölten, 300 metres from VAZ St. My husband and I are in transit a lot through Germany and we have a hard time finding hotels with 24h reception desks. The reception desk machine here is incredibly easy to use and we are greatful for the option. The parking lot was big and we were presently surprised to realise we can see our car from our room window. The room was very quite, shower had great pressure, the pillows were some of the best i ever slept on. Breakfast had a lot of options, i expecially loved the fruit bar, and very good coffee. We will definitely come back.

This was like a palace, room was luxuriously big and very comfortable. I liked the toilet separate from the bathroom. The host was completely delightful and anticipated all our needs. Bike storage was safe. The restaurant was delicious. I want to come back for a week.

Excellent ample parking facilities around the premises. Excellent bar with a relaxing ambience, and a restaurant serving great comfort food at fair prices. It was 21:30, I was tired from driving all day, I didn't know what to expect and I was pleasantly surprise by how good it it. A welcome and relaxing environment.

Due to low season, the hotel was very quiet and calm. Travelling with two small children, we appreciated mostly that we weren't disturbing anyone with our kids being loud. The staff was friendly, the room spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. The food was delicious. The thing I appreciate the most was their attention when it came to my kids allergy. I informed them in advance and both for dinner and breakfast there were plenty of options available for them. Big plus

We have already visited the region several times but without having an accommodation there. This time we chose a hotel just in the valley, where all interesting places are located around within 10 km. We were attracted by the Hochkar mountain and both the Wasserlochklamm and the Gams bei Hieflau waterfalls. The Fahrnberger hotel is a nice building already from outside and a reasonably big parking is located in front of the building. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, although we do not speak German (they also fluently speak English). We were accommodated in a nice, separate building near the main hotel building. We like the style how the hotel is equipped: it is a local Austrian natural design but providing the maximum comfort. We felt like we were on our honeymoon there. In the evening we enjoyed a great Riesling white wine in the hotel lounge. The four poster bed, located in our big and amazing room, provided a very pleasant environment in the night. The bathroom with a shower was also big and comfortable. The toilet was in a separate room. In the morning we have a nice mountain view from the window of our room. The breakfast was very tasty and we also enjoyed sitting places in front of the hotel to absorb the atmosphere of the Alps mountains. We left the hotel totally satisfied and the price for the accommodation seems to us very adequate. For sure, we plan to return there in the future.
