The lodge overlooks the lake and offers a living room with a Murphy bed, a gas stove for winter evenings, a fully equipped kitchen, a terrace and a barbecue. It has a bedroom with 2 queen beds, 1 of them in a mezzanine, and a bathroom. The lodge is right in the middle of nowhere, what we really liked. As we arrived pretty late we had the opportunity to do a self check in after the check in time. The communication with the host was uncomplicated. The cabin itself was super comfortable, well equipped and really cozy. I can definitly recommend staying there. Me and my friends loved it!

Good choices for meals and very affordable. I enjoyed having for free access to pedal boat and kayak. The beach is calm and perfect. The lake is just exceptional and the place is beautiful. I just appreciate a lot that this place is still affordable.

The cozy rooms at Wakefield Mill offer guest bathrobes and a coffee maker. The rooms also features cable TV and free Wi-Fi. What a nice 2 night stay at Wakefield mill. We had 2 deluxe rooms in the main Mill building. The rooms were very comfortable, rustic and had lots of space. We had a lovely view over the river. We had lunch and dinner at the Heron bistro, the food was excellent. We had breakfast at the main restaurant and it was also excellent, with attention to presentation. The staff in general was very welcoming and friendly. The General Manager came to speak with us the first morning of our stay and recommended some local walks in Wakefield town. Two members of our party had a massage at the spa, which they thoroughly enjoyed. We didn't try the outside spa, however, it looked really welcoming by the river. The outdoors facilities are really nice, with the red Adirondack chairs and the gardens. We will absolutely return if we are in this area.

The lodge offers a children's playground. I liked the fact that when we made the reservation I did not see that there was no shower facility so they upgraded us because they had rooms available with no extra charge to a Yourt style tent. We enjoyed it so much and plan to go back there one day.
